Well I've jumped in and did it again. I've been looking for something small just to tool around town on or maybe a short ride after work when I get a few minutes to do so. So when I was down at the local Yammy shop I saw an 09 650 V-STAR MIDNIGHT CUSTOM. I couldn't pass it up. I'll still have the RSMV for those longer rides and when the gal goes with me. It's a fun little bike to ride. I've ordered a windshield and highway bars for it to start with the safety chroming. And yes there are pictures in my gallery.

Up untill I joined the Army my mom would introduce me as her 4th daughter because of my long hair. I still wear bell bottoms only now they are called boot cuts. There's still somethings you just can't get away from.

Yammer, You just can't fit much snow in your pockets when you're sitting on them. Take it easy and let the sun help you get rid of the stuff. It's less painful.

On my 05 Midnight the seat pan where my legs went accross was at such a bend and not much padding that it caused my legs to go to sleep. I put on a set o pillow tops and haven't had the problem since. I would suppose that if you had Rick Butler redo them it would probably be less expensive and just as comfortable.

I was thinking the same thing. While growing up in Knoxville and having 129, 441, 116, English Mtn. Ocoee, 11W, 25/70 accross the Smokies, and numerous others, a person can stay amazed at how much one can see in this area. I like the Cherohala myself and try to ride it every year. But I usually go on to Cherokee and stay clear of the Dragon worshipers.

That's the best news. Being home where she can be comfortable and able to have you there to help instead of some strangers going in and out. Still have you all in my thoughts and prayers for a quick recovery.

I got on that Justin Guitar link like one of the guys suggested and have found it to be more helpful than any of the others I've tried. I'm still not too swooft on changes but doing lots better than I was. I also have a Basic Guitar Chords book that I've actually had for a while that shows all the chords. I watch the video on the site and mark down the moves in the book and use it to practice with instead of having to keep going back to the site so much.

Hey SilvrT, How are those Geetar fingers comming along? I've got some hard slick finger tips now and was just wondering how yours were doing.

Happy to hear that all went well. Still praying for a quick recovery and strength for her and the family.

Like it says below... "Normal" is a setting on a DRYER. I guess everything else would probably be considered "Usual".

Nighthawk II replied to Zfrebird4's topic in Watering Hole
At times I feel like I'm 90, but I'm only 55. Don't have a full time QS rider. -

Annie, My Dad had a muscle to shread in his upper right leg at the age of 35 and the Drs. told him that he would be lucky to even walk for the rest of his life. He played softball with us on the church team until he was 65. He also swam, roller skated and bowled up until about a year before he passed away at 82. So do your best to heal and do your therapy and like Boomer said, let your human spirit guide you in what you want to do. Thoughts and prayers still comming.

It actually sounds like the type unit my son got last year at Lowe's. His has the dark wood mantle and storage doors on each side. It actually puts out a good amount of heat and uses little power to operate. I think you'll like it once you get it situated where it puts the heat where it does the best in heating the area you want.

I know it's a little late for this suggestion, but you might consider it for the next time you need to move something heavy. Get you a funiture dolly and an appliance dolly. The funiture dolly is a square base with 4 rollers on it and you place the object on it and you can push it anywhere you want. The appliance dolly is basically a 2 wheeler with an adjustable strap on it to tie down a larger object to it and you just tilt it over a little and go. Just don't try to move things that are too heavy, ask the guys that are near to you to come and help. We are kinda fond of havin you around.

While they have the tires off have them check for rubber build up on the inside edge of the rim. if they are clean then the soapy sealent they use should take care of them.
