  1. Price includes shipping. Not having any shipped these yet I won't actually know just how much shipping actually costs. I'm hoping to leave the price as is thou it may go up for future orders or maybe even down a bit. time will tell there. Thanks to those of you have bought a set so far. Oh did you downsize those pics Don.? If so thanks there too. I just finished getting a new desktop online so still sorting thru stuff on it. Larry
  2. Due to several request to make crash bar braces I've built a limited number of them. Currently there's 6 of them listed in the classifieds but if there's enough demand I'll build more. I built these a bit different than the ones I did in a post 3 years ago. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=6069&highlight=crash+supports Simplier and stronger. Here's a link to my ad -- http://www.venturerider.org/classifieds/showproduct.php?product=2692 Please note that you'll also have to purchase a set of clamps for the crash bars. There are two types to choose from. These from are the best -- http://www.kuryakyn.com/index.cfm/go/Home.ProductDetail/catID/18/scID/121/IMID/531 #1002 or from Dennis Kirk -- http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=494431&store=&catId=&productId=p494431&leafCatId=&mmyId or a 3piece type -- http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=406929&store=&catId=&productId=p406928&leafCatId=&mmyId= or http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/product_catalog/Product.jsp?skuId=406933&store=&catId=&productId=p406932&leafCatId=&mmyId= I have found both types being sold at e-bay with decent prices in the past as well. Larry Note: The first two pics show the braces and clamps on my bike. The ones I have listed are a bit different at the clamp end but will still do the same job.
  3. Looks like you're making some progress there. Looking forward to seeing the finished product. Yea the lights look great there too. Did the lights mouting area come like that or did you build up that area for them? Larry
  4. Good to hear she's improving so well. Might do better if you did more for her thou? See you both at Don's MD. Larry
  5. Gets addictive don't it ? Nice trailer and great job finishing it up to match the scoot. Larry
  6. Been thinking of you guys lately and was hoping to hear this kind of news. While the pay may not be on par with what you've been used to it can lead to others perhaps. Know as others here how not having income can wear on a fellows mind as I was out of work for over a year myself. Congratulations on the job and Thanks to those who helped you along the way. As Don said I hope others without employment will get that call to return to a job too. Larry
  7. Yea sure bribe him any ole way to see him again. You forget he's still snow bound for a while thou. Larry
  8. I have them on my bike and they work great. Makes flushing out old fluid and bleeding the lines a easy 1 man operation. Larry
  9. Order sent in, Thanks Don Larry
  10. Need you even ask the size? You know if it fits Charlie it's gonna fit you too bud. BTW Charlie it wasn't me that sent ya that jacket. Larry
  11. Certainly isn't the type of riding for the timid. Bet it really gets interesting meeting a rider going the other way. Nope I think I'd prefer hiking that trail on my feet. Larry
  12. Check out your local Home Depot & Lowes for tool boxes as well. Larry
  13. Hilarius. Too funny Larry
  14. Great game. The USA wasn't such a push over as many thought it would be before the tournaments started. And certainly wasn't no landslide win by Canada either in the final for Gold. How ironic Crosby shot the winning goal after being next to useless during the entire tournament. Congratulations to Canada's team and a tip of the hat to the US players too. Larry
  15. Yea that's right too Midlife. Forgot about the 30 post being feed by the battery. In that case either a dual feed dpdt relay OR a 2nd relay to trigger the 1st one. In this set up the bottom relay would be activated when the key was turned on thus powering the 30 post of the top relay. Then the indicator light would be on until the spot lights were activiated by throwing the switch for the lights. DPDT relays are hard to find, if at all, in most auto stores. Probably easier to wire in the 2nd SPDT relay as described above. Getting anymore confused Jeff? Hahahahaha Larry
  16. My thinking here is that you don't even need a 2nd relay (bottom one ) in midlife's drawing if you are using a SPDT relat. Just hook the indicator light to the 87a post. With the key on it should light up and when you toggle the spots on it'll go out. Larry
  17. Sorry to hear of your past troubles but as has been said many times, one door closes and another opens. Looking forward to seeing you this coming riding season somewhere sometime Charlie. Till then take care friend, Larry
  18. Jeff not all relays with the 87a and 87 posts are NO/NC type relays. When checking on relays look for one with the diagram like the one Midlife posted. If both 87a & 87 have power at the same time they're both tied together as Gary says. Using one with schematics like Midlife posted will do what you want. Power to the little bulb when key is on and off when you throw the switch for the bikes lights. Larry
  19. I've had one of the BestEm bags for about 5 years now, but would be interested in one with the VR logo on them. Especialy if they've improved their fastening system. While most times the velcro system holds the bag in place I generaly add a couple of web straps to secure the bag. Doing that just eases my mind in securing the bag is all. Larry
  20. Like everyone else I have plenty of black and gray shirts. Time to get something different so my vote goes to Natural as well. Larry
  21. Some days I'm like 25 years old and others like today when I'm not riding I'm 63. Don't know where this puts me on the list but sure hope the good Lord sees that I'll be around for many more enjoyable years of riding. At least some of the older fellows can give me inspiration to keep going. Larry
  22. One question from those of you who have run with the yellow fog lamps in place of the driving/spot lights. How well do they light up the road at night compared to the normal spot lights? Larry
  23. Glad to hear the good news. Seems there's been way too many folks on the other side of that employment coin. Hope and pray all of our members here that are out of work will soon be gainfully employed once again. Larry
  24. Ian I sent you a PM. I bought my Works shock direct from the company because they were able to beef it up to compensate for the extra 400 lbs of my trike. No extra charge for that either. It does have preload adjustments but it's something you'll need to do at home, not on the road or spur of the moment. Larry
  25. I've seen a lot of folks tie wrap the holder to the handle bar or wedged between the clutch reservoir and bar. Mine's tucked up under the tank since I don't use it. Larry
