Peggy, what length sheepskin did you get????? We were running late out of DC today, so we didn't get a chance to stop at Ikea, but I will be going back soon to get one and want to make sure I get the right length. Thanks.

Nice pics Mini, so hows Jeff's humor?

It's a cool concept and thought it might be a good option for my wife. I test rode one last summer and have to say that I did not like it. The 3 wheeled thing was weird for me and maybe I'm partial to the RSV, but it just didn't feel right.

I you use the link in the review, you can get to teh manufacturers site which has an application chart. The model for a 2nd gen starts at $149. A little steep, but depending on what filter you usually use and how long you keep the bike you can make your money back.
-
Funny that you should post this.......................I have seen these on e-bay and wondered how it would work on the RSV. Most on e-bay are going for $35 or more with shipping. I may stop at IKEA next week when we have the VA M&E and pick up one for my bike if they are $20 in the store. What do you say Rideduke:think: A stop by IKEA on Sunday to check out sheepskins.

If your free next weekend, Riderduke and I are hosting a M&E in Williamsburg VA. We'd love to have you join us if you can make it. Here is link to that thread http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19685

Gene, do you have the Advance part #? I tried to get a set at and AA here in Richmond today and they said that part # goes to a filter. They also tried looking up the pads for the bike and it showed they couldn't get them. Ha ve you tried pep boys or autozone before, sure would like to find them for around $17 instead $30.

I know this is an older thread but I have acouple of ?'s. I am getting ready to order some brake pads so I can replace mine soon and want to make sure that I get the right ones. I was looking at the ebc catalog at cyclebrakes.com and according to the catalog the parts #'s for a 2007 venture are as follows: front pads = FA179 or F179 hh rear pads = FA123 or FA 123HH This does not seem to agree with what was posted earlier in this thread, I just want make sure that I get the right pads. Thanks.

Thanks, I plan on paying them a visit for my next tire.

What dealer did you use? Was it Jeff's in NC? For what my dealer charges, I will ride a couple of hours to dave the money.

Thanks:thumbsup2:..............but i am only 5'8". I have added weight:confused24: in the last year or 2 and that makes me look bigger in the pics, but I really am short:rotfl: I have shaved the seat and that helped, but am still not flat footing the bike yet. I have gotten used to it and that is really not a problem now, but I like the idea of this mod to improve the handling because I will not be able handle the leveling links.- 22 replies

Any tricks to the suction cup on the windshield? that might be a good option for a number of models.

I wonder how this would handle being mounted to the windshield on a RSV?????? These would be a good less expensive option if you could get it to stay using the windshield mounts. Anyone use their phone with GPS???? like maybe a blackberry or palm phone with mapping software. Sprint has GPS navigation on their phones and I was thinking about geting a new phone anyway, so if it worked well that might be another option.

Jeff, If your guy is really that low I am going to come down and see him for my next tire. I'll willing to ride down to save some the money. My dealer charged 150 to install my last rear tire. I was walking kind of funny when I left:think:

I took the day off tommorow:cool10: and it is spposed to be in the mid 70's:thumbsup2:. I was planning on riding to Williamsburg or Fredericksburg tommorow. Anyone interested in riding along or meeting up to ride for a little while?
