Looks like the East may see another major snow,ice, rain event early next week. Something brewing in the gulf heading this way. This kind of thing brings back child hood memories. Wonder why I don't enjoy it as much. MamaMo's mom is flooded out and can't get home tonight. She is staying in a motel with Ramona. I guess it's a party tonight me and the dog.Mini you might get a noreaster yet.

We are supposed to be getting .10 to .25 of sleet and ice tonight. THat will shut down the entire town!!! Call out the state guard and roll up the roadways. Call Washington for disaster relief. People around here can't drive in the rain let alone snow or ice. You watch, people will DIE tonight and tomorrow. Sad but true. Tom in Blanco will be getting his share about 9pm. San Antonio is supposed to get it by midnight. Jo

I know that Pegscraper has a thread going about his 96, but not sure if that is all relative to my 2007. I have noticed that my clutch is slipping some lately, though it is only when the bike cold. Once she is warmed up and ridden for 5-10 minutes all is good. Then today it 'clunked' going into to 1st gear when I first took off (I had let it run for about 2 minutes before leaving). I didn't think a lot about until it 'clunked' going into 1st again tonight when I left work. Any thoughts on what is wrong and how to fix it? Should I change the fluid? DO I need new springs or what? BTW I have a little over 29k miles on it now. -
Well...I am officially excited now. Tomorrow we head out to Bismark ND. Then at 630 am Sunday we board our plane to California and head out on a leaky boat for a week long cruise. The ship is the Carnival Pride and we touch Cabo san something, Mazatlan and Puerto Vallarta (sp)? I write this to make all you stuck in this frozen waste land envious of course! We are going with another couple..some may have heard me talk of them...they ride Indians- Chief and a Scout. (when they can get them working right!) She is turning 40 while we are in the ocean and its also their 20th anniversary. He thought to surprise her with this little jaunt. She does not know yet but will find out tonight as we are going there for supper and last minute planning. This surprise has been in the works for a year now! And she suspects nothing! Even her work knows and have played along....kept her name on the schedule and everything. Gonna tip back some of those fruity drinks and try not to fall off the ship! Take care you parka clad people! At least for one week I can gloat!

I had knee sugery today to repair torn cartilage in my right knee and remove a bone chip on the kneecap. Everything went real good. They gave me a shot of morphine and I was tripping out all day till tonight and now it does hurt. Maybe the pain will ease up tomorrow. I am glad to have it over with and in a few weeks will be back to normial,for me that is. tew47

glad i got all the bikes rode yesterday. it was 35 degrees. the bottom dropped out last night. right now it's 4 degrees. expected to make it to zero tonight. looks like a very early winter. this global warming is killing me.

Well, it was raining cats and dogs last night and this morning. So I was going to take it easy tonight and do some chores. But today we had a breezy wind all afternoon and the streets are dry. Temperature is 46 F and nothing to hold me back,,,,,,,Ehhhhh,,, well it is our 13th. anniversary tonight but the misses had a birthday yesterday and I was really nice. Gave her a nice present and did the dishes and cleaned the kitchen and the rest of the house when the guests were gone. Then we went to bed and,,,,,,,,, I fell asleep All dressed up and ready to hit the road. I´ll be super nice to her when I get back home and try to stay awake.

Up to 6 inches coming in today and tonight.Wife not going to be in a good mood when I tell her in about an hour when she gets up. The weather forecast changed for the worst. I can hear it now What? I'm not driving to work in this. Someone can take me to work and you can come and get me tonight. It's the start of winter routine.

Wow is all I can say... thanks to Rick @ Buckeye Performance I just finished a Progressive spring upgrade and shock rebuild. What a difference. Only able to put about 20 miles on tonight, but so far the results are great.

I have been trying to install the Modulite trailer lighting module tonight and am having a problem. I have followed the instructions in the tech area and am sure that I have all the wires correct. Problem is when I connect the last wire..........brown (tail) from the modultie to the blue on the bikes harness.................... not only do i not get lights on the trailer, I also loose my light bars. Any thoughts on what might be causing this??????????? I would really like to finish this tonight and put the bike back together.

When backing my new Venture with only 700 miles on it out of the garage tonight it was making a clicking sound coming from the back when rolling backwards, is this normal? Also thought I heard a little click click click when I was pulling back into the driveway tonight. Any thoughts??

We'll be getting together tonight in chat to remember one of our members. We'll be celebrating with his wife Sherry. It's been one year since our family member Tom left us for a better place. Some of our newer members aren't familiar with this but it was a terrible accident that took Tom away from his family and the world. Wild Hair, Lowell, The Ambassador is high and dry in Pauls Valley, OK tonight. I had to call and check on him tonight with all the storms moving between his house and OKC this week. He did wind up in the middle of a hail storm this week, otherwise he's stayed a step a head of the storms.

We're gonna celebrate the 1 yr anniversary tonight. About a year ago Yamamama and I started hanging out in chat every night. We've had lots of fun with all the folks who come in to chat with us. Also we just hit 4321 members today. Just a fun little milestone to celebrate too. So come on in I'm sure we'll have fun and the beer will be flowing. We'll probably start around 9 pm eastern time. Oh we can also celebrate daylight savings time since we lost an hour today. Just means spring is that much closer even for those of you with snow at the moment. Margaret

Back in December I gave myself an early Christmas Present and found a set of new diaphragms for my 89vr on E-bay for a very affordable $41.00 needless to say I was all over them like oil drips under a Harley! Tonight I finally got out to the garage and replaced the diaphragms, much easier than I anticipated and I also found that the front left plug boot was very very loose, probably a 3/4" gap between electrode and plug tip. Well since I bought the 89 1 1/2 years ago it has been pretty doggy in the acceleration dept. However tonight when I took the old girl out with her new diaphragms..... WOW!!! now this rides like a 1300cc bike, I get full extension out of the front forks under acceleration, throttle response is a 100% better, cant wait till I put new plugs in her and resink the carbs. Just a note for those who use liquid electrical tape to patch their diaphragms be very careful when I pulled the old diaphragms out which I had used the liquid tape on, I found that it had flaked badly and the air bleed holes were covered. Now that the bike seems to be running better can't wait for the meet and eat later on this month.

How many of you guys do the Nightshift thing and how do you get to sleep on those days when your head is going and you know you are going to need your rest but something fires you up and you can't sleep. Want to go back and take care of business RIGHT NOW! I have a Inspirational speech to give to staff tonight and don't know how I will do with that on top of everything else. Can't sleep. Tonight is going to be rough.I've tried the Sleep-Aid pills, don't do anything. Not bike related but need some rest with hours I'm pulling. I Could Retire!!!!!

We had a last minute impromptu meet and eat tonight at the Thurs bike night at Jerry's Sports Grille on Atlantic and Hodges. LetHimRide (Ken) and his wife, Georgia came to unveil their fully airbrushed 03. The artist did a remarkable job! KWTrains, Poppyrog and myself were there also. It was a balmy 65 deg out and there was maybe 100 bikes there. Sorry, but pics of Kens bike will be posted some time soon. OK, so I forgot to bring a camera...shoot me. Stalked a possible new member who rolled up on a white RSTD. Gave him a card and introduced him around and invited him to the site. I believe his name was Ron.
