  1. Has the Bike to be my 1Gen ?? My Wardrobe has seasonal Plates, not on duty until 1st of May. Max or Turbo would be on duty ...
  2. you could get one or two Wiring Harnesses from Ebay and would have plenty of colour coded Wire and some spare Connectors
  3. Hi Brad, I'm just glad that you and Lonna have a Ride for this Season. It doesn't matter what you ride, i know you can turn the Wrenches on both, 1Gen and 2Gen when needed, so you can't be wrong in either. I hope it is comfy enough to let you ride a Lot more than you want to and, please, keep at least one Wheel on the Ground. As you might remember and reexperience now, 1Gens are faster ....
  4. There are two Parts Numbers on Friction Plates, one Number is with 7 Pieces and the second is just 1 Pieces. The single one is the one you make your new Dart Game Target. So you order the Disc which is listed 7-fold on the List.
  5. You didn't forget to order one full Size Friction Plate for the Clutch, so can replace the most inner half Disc ?
  6. Sounds like you mixed the + and Ground Wires while Jump Starting or charging. This would lead the R/R to fry and fail and because the R/R wasn't doing the Job he's designed to, the Stator couldn't get rid of the Power produced and got toasted also. Like Forrest Gump said ... S..t happens
  7. A Harley Davidson .....
  8. Hi, there are four possible Locations for Leaks in that Area. - lowest Bolt on the middle drive Cover needs a copper Washer Seal or the Gasket of the Cover is leaking - Hydaulic Fluid(Brake Fluid) leaks at the Clutch Slave or Line - Shift Shaft Seal is bad - Ol leaks out at the Clutch Slave Cylinder
  9. There was a Meeting in 2006 when he and other Members(Winghunter) got into some strange Discussion. I don't know nothing about that, i wasn't there. But it seems, there was a Lot of Anger involved. He somehow left the european Board and i haven't heard anything since. Since he had run the Board by then, the others never came back to it.
  10. Sorry, i misread your Bike in the first Posting. The Location of the Main Fuse would be for a 1Gen.
  11. Normally it's in a smaller black Box, by the Size of a automotive Relay, somewhere in front of the Battery in middle, abit more on the right side
  12. What Tubes is he reffering to ?
  13. try to jump start the Bike, if nothing changes, check the 40 Amp Main Fuse
  14. That's an Ad... when you look at it on Youtube, at least here in Germany, there are other Vids in a List below. There is the Add in full Length
  15. As i'm not familiar with the 2Gens i can't help on Locations of the Connectors, but you need to check the three Wires(white or yellow) coming from the Stator. Check them for Resistance as stated in the Workshop Manual and also with the digital Multimeter setted on AC 2 to 20 Volts. You should read around 15 Volts when the Engine is running at 2k RpM or above and measured between each of the Wires. Also, check each Wire versus Ground when the Motors running on Idle. This should give you no Reading. If the Resistance and the Voltages check out fine, you may need a new Regulator/Rectifier. Check the outgoing DC Voltage on the red Wire versus Ground. If this reads between 12.42 and 12.6 Volt the Ground Contact of the R/R may be the Culprit.
  16. Hey, what i said, get rid of the Wife instead of the Bike ..... Sorry, just kidding, i couldn't resist. Seriously, i don't believe that the Buyer is trying to trick you. If you store a huge metal Object near salty Water or in such Air, everything gets rusted quite quickly. On the Chrome, it's mostly a thorough cleaning Job and some conserving Chemics. Now, on the electrics and mechanical Parts, this could get a real Problem. All Contacts and Connectors need to be undone, cleaned and reconnected with dielectric Grease. This might contribute to the Cylinder not firing. I don't know a Yammi Engineer, but for my Eyes, these Carbs can't tell a 200k Mls Story by that Picture. Problem is, everything is contaminated by the salty Air. This includes Tank, Frame, Combustion Chambers, Cams, you name it. I think the Container in which the Crate was stored, has made the Travel over the Pond on the Deck of the Container ship. Maybe the Container took a hit from a Wave and was completly wet on the outside, possibly some Water got inside. I don't know if that could make anyone liable. Where is the Buyer from? If he wants to get rid of the Bike, i would be interested in a rolling Chassis with a 1300cc Motor for a custom Project at a good Price. I won't need the Wheels, Plastics, Compressor.
  17. Sorry, as for today, no definite Plans to visit US... :confused24: Just to give you some Insight, modifying FJR Rims need a big Lathe on which you can mount a 17 Inch Wheel, some special Tools for the Lathe and around 45 Hours of Work. Fork Yokes might cost 1100 to 1500 USD or you have a Mill on your own and around 100 Hours milling Time on an manual Machine. CNC is a Lot faster, but needs to be programed. Riding 2-up should be checked first, due to the light Wheels and their Weight allowed by Yamaha.
  18. Sure it would give your Living Room a nice Touch .... :rotf::rotf:
  19. This might be a bit harder and more pricey, but doable. 1Gen with complete Vmax Engine, solid Motor mounts, FJR1300 17" Rims and Michelin Pilot Road2 Tires, lifted for 1.5 Inches in the rear and custom milled Fork Yokes. Wing wont even appear in the Mirror for more than two or three Turns.
  20. oh yes ... there's a JAPANESE CARBURETOR ,NGK SPARKPLUG on the Bike and it's BEST QUALITY ,BEST SERVICE ,BEST PRICE What makes makes you feel hesitating ???? NOT ... I'd rather buy a 20 Years old Japanese 125cc Bike than this chinese Piece of J...
  21. Sorry for your Inconvenience :rotf: My only Question is ... What the Heck do any Particles in any Size in the M/C or the Fluid ??
  22. Easy Solution, buy a Vmax with 17" Wheels, 120/70 and 180/55 Tires and 1 Inch longer rear Shocks.
  23. Nope, there is not one Vacuum Line to all Cylinders. Each Manifold has it's own Connector beneath the Carb.
  24. Well, if you like to stay with the V4 Engine .... 1500cc, 150 hp, 243 kg without Fuel, 40 Liter Gas Tank and serious Off Road Capability http://www.v-max-f-maerz.de/bigmax/Maxduro0.JPG http://www.v-max-f-maerz.de/bigmax/maxduro.html
  25. If you want try, why not. Just be careful with the wet sanding. But you got to face the Fact, if you do it there, you ought to do it everywhere.
