Aint mother nature grand..........I havent ridden either one of my bikes in the last 10 days and it may be a while longer before I can get on and ride again. I am suffering from a recurring Pilonidal Abcess, that has been treated many times in the past 12 years but keeps rearing its ugly head almost yearly, nothing they have done has cured it. I wont go into detail of what it is, but I will tell you this........."Its a real pain in the a..!!!" If you want to see what it is just google it.........but dont look at the pictures. I am hoping it will clear up before next Saturday so I can attend Ecks lunch meet & eat that I have been looking forward to.

Dont know that I would want to see those pics if the "pond monster" is unclothed...........I dont think that would be allowed on this site.........not a pretty picture in my mind....... :thumbdown:

Got some much needed rain here, with some wind but no damage done around here..............Prayers go out to those in Ark, Ala, and Tn, that suffered the brunt of the storm................

Ken, I have a Sirius that I use on the 1st gen and the V star, on the Venture I have it set to 95.4 fm and comes thru fine as long as I have the cd player on pause,it blocks the signals to the radio and allows the sirius to come thru, but if I turn the cd player off I will loose the signal if there is an fm station broadcasting on that freq. As for the V star, I have it going directiy thru a small amp coming from the line out on the Sirius.

Put some 03 RK muffs on mine,had a friend at a Midas shop make me some adapters and I fabed a mount out of 1/2 inch square steel tube, that I purchased at Home Depot. -
I ride just about every day......back and forth to work, when its raining I cage it.....that's a drag..:stirthepot:

Get in touch with Muffinman, he made a few sets a while back and he gave me a set and we also installed a set on Clay18's bike when we did his bike.............he might still have a set or be able to make some more..........

I had 2 rear enders one in 1977 and the other in 1987, in both instances I was rearended while stopped and the other vehicles were doing in excess of 40 mph.........that smarted........... after trips to the dr and x rays they said all I had was soft tissue damage nothing to worry about,,,,,,,,,,,,fast forward to Feb, 2000, started having pains in my neck and shoulders and arms that radiated down to my elbows, went to Dr, had MRI and found I had 2 ruptured disks in my neck and back, had the surgery , all was good for a while, now I have constant medication for the pain and it never really goes completely away........Hope your luck was better than mine...........but do get checked out completely........

At least I was faithful to the brand and bought a Star...........so do I qualify? Guess we need to make a patch for that too..........:cool10:

From csmiles3, concerning the Guardian Bells on Ebay, but he didnt send it directly to me, it came to me thru a Yahoo group that I started 3 years ago that I use to promote VentureRider. I was really surprised to see that someone had actually joined VR after joining my Yahoo group, because I never researched the members list there against the one here, so I guess its about time I do that. So Chuck, thanks to you for doing that, because I never got around to it, because frankly, I didnt think that that site was doing any good, so now I will have to pay more attention to it. For those of you that are curious the name of the group is "83Ventureriders".

Clay called me yesterday and caught me totally off guard, and I forgot to ask him about the trailer, he is working the graveyard shift and is off on Sundays and Mondays, so making a meet and eat on Saturdays is out for him, so maybe we ought to have one on a Sunday so we can get him out with us.........I will try to remember and ask him the next time I talk to him, he doesnt get to spend much time on here,he is having to much fun playing with the inmates............:rotf::rotf:
