I have mounted HD mufflers on my 83. Its not hard, have to do a little fabricating and get some extensions for pipes but it can be done, I wasnt the first to do it on a first gen, but I am one of many.

Use a reminder to make us more aware of what goes on around us, I lost count of how many times I have been cut off or almost had a vehicle pull out in front of me.........This video is enuff to scare some out of riding.......maybe thats a good thing. Makes me think twice about doing something stupid.

Thats the one I ordered from J&M. Friend has one on his BMW K1200lt and he loves it and it sounds great.

Tell the dealer to change them out to a different brand, I cant believe those were the only tires he had on hand to put on your bike, sounds to me like he was trying to sell you the high priced tires over what you wanted. For me, will always be Avons......on my 1st Gen, and will go on my Vstar 1300 when the time comes, if not sooner.

Hows everything going in your neck of the woods......made any more mods to the 1300. I am still trying to find some lowers like you made, for mine, and no luck, so if you know where I can get some , please let me know. I finally ordered my radio system for mine along with the CB. Check them out. Hope the system works as good as others I have heard, for the price its unbelievable what you get and the system uses the 5 pin plug that comes standard on the Venture. I have heard the CB over mine and it sounds just as good as the one on the 1st gen. Hope that mine sounds just a good. You can check them out at the links below.
