Allright folks, it just 1 week till we take off for Memphis/St Jude Hospital to make our donation. If anyone else is planning on going please let me know, I have to call St. Jude on Monday and let them know how many folks we have coming so they can be prepared for us..........right now the count is up to 15 bikes aprox 20-22 members. This is going to be a really great visit especially for the kids at St. Jude, and dont forget to read the lists I have attached for gift ideas and patient interaction. Thanks to all................

Yep, you are right, we ride each other harder than we ride our bikes sometimes, like Muffinman and myself, we are always on to each other, but without that guy, lots of us, even me might be without our 1st Gen or paying a hefty price to get our antiques fixed, he has come to the aid of......well I have lost count, he is the 1st Gen. magician here at VR...........I love the guy like a brother........... As for family I see plenty of the guys and talk to many of them more often than I do my own brother who lives a lot closer than most of these folks here..............Its a great place with great people and caring people. Glad you see what this place is really about, not just bikes but people and their lives, thats the important part of this site, and I dont think Freebird (Don) imagined that would happen when he started this site, many thanks to Freebird for starting this wonderful group.. As I have said many times before................. UDAMAN DON!!! FREEBIRD FOR PRESIDENT!!!!!

Were any of you into "CBing" when it was cool??
DragonRider replied to cowpuc's topic in Watering Hole
Yep, had me a cobra 29 mounted in my van and my car, didnt go anywhere without it, it really made the time fly when I was driving anywhere, it drove my wife crazy, all I ever had on was the cb and not the regular radio.......It funny, I hadnt thought about my call sign in years but as soon as I saw the post, it popped in my mind......... -
Just seal the envelope without anything in it and send it back........:rotf:

For my first touring bike I started out with an 83 Venture, I have had it for 3 years, and I love the bike for the purpose it is intended, touring, for short rides and riding by myself, which I seem to do a lot of lately because of medical reasons, my wife cant ride right now, I bought a V Star 1300, and I love it. Its got fuel injection, 4 valves per cyl. saddle bags, floorboards, windshield and it rides great and handles great. I was going to part with the Venture, but its paid for and upkeep and ins. are minimal, so it still has its place in my stable..........either way you go you cant go wrong. Yamaha builds a great product, they just lag behind every one else in updating a great product in order to make it better............

I hate hearing this, because DGY was a very big contributor to Vogel III, by donating many, many items for our raffles and door prizes, they helped us raise a lot of money for St. Jude Hospital. I hope they get this straightened out. Things happen and sometimes it just slips between the cracks for some unknow reason, lets just hope this is just some lackey not doing their job and somebody steps up to the plate to straighten out this situation,,,,,,,,,,I will be waiting for a favorable outcome.............:whistling:

I dont remember seeing any pictures of those changes, how about sharing with us..................... -
I havent given that much thought yet, it all depends on how long the tour is, and I was hoping we could get a meal afterwards, I will be talking to St. Jude this week and I will inquire as to how long the tour takes and get back with you...............But do remind me,,,,,,,,,you know senior moments have a way of catching me unaware.

I didnt want to put any words in Todds mouth, besides it is a mini bike compared to a 1st gen, except when it comes to he handling dept and accelaration dept.......That fi is great............If only Yamma would put it on the RSV. That was a great selling point for me.........and the fuel mileage is very good, my low has been 41 and the high 46. I bet after I cut the shield down about 4 inches it will get better, that big sail of a windshield really hurts the mileage. I plan on changing the FI control system like Wpredock on his.

Sure would be nice if you could post your families experience with us, just to show what a good cause this is for..............
