  7. Hello Everyone: Anyone passing through the black hills on the way to Cody? If so we have stayed at the Cheif Motel in Custer SD, many times. Indoor pool, Hot tub and covered deck to park several bike under. Bruce and Nancy are wonderful people. Otherwise another friend manages the Holiday Inn Express in Custer and has a bit of land to park a cage and trailer if you would need to drop one off and ride the rest of the way. Keep in touch. Look forward to meeting everyone!
  8. Hello Joe: Nice that you would travel all this way just so I could see how my luggage rack looks on your bike and how your seats look on mine!!! LOL. If you would want to only trailer part of the way? You would be welcome to leave your Cage and trailer here at my place and then ride the last 450 miles. Depending on what day you would pass through? I might even have a place for you to stay? Take care...
  9. Hope you enjoy your day.

    Bar end Weight Idea/Flanders Bars

How I attached bar end weights to the Flanders bars. Quick and inexpensive.
  11. Hello: Glad the new bars worked for you. After installing my bars I also no longer had neck and back pain and the slow speed handling was improved. Thanks for the update. Glad we could help!

  13. Hello: I could not see through my shield in the rain and the OEM shield was too tall for me to look over comfortably. I am 5'7" tall, the 50' foot rule for me indicated my shield should be 17" tall. After failed attempts to purchase an OEM shield that did work for me. I finally cut the windshield on my 05 RSTD down using directions found on this site. Really happy with the results. I recommend putting blue painter's tape on both sides of the windshield. Using a piece of poster board mark the curve of your exisitng windshield on it and cut along the curved line. Determine how much you wish to cut off of your exisiting shield. Cut that amount off of the bottom of the poster board and then tape the poster board in place. Cover the cutting table on your jig saw with painters tape to avoid scratching the shield. Use a fine tooth blade and cut slowly along the curve. Use a file or rasp to shape the edges and fine sand paper to finish off the edge. Peel off the blue painters tape when finished. I cut off 2" to start with. Be careful not to take too much off, what seems fine for the driver will cause more wind on your passenger. If momma is not happy no one is happy. Hope this helps?
  14. Hello Everyone: We are one of the closer ones to Cody. 450 miles. We have changed our vacation plans, cut our yearly trip to Sturgis short so that we can attend the Cody Rally also. I have reserved a room at the Skyline, but have not officially registered for the Rally. Hope to do so soon. I know of at least one other couple from our area that is also attending. Recently met "Graderman". Take care....
  15. Hello Dave: Glad Roxie is home!!!
  16. Hello Wade: Always enjoy meeting other MC riders. Look me up!!!!
  17. Hello Everyone: Anyone traveling from the East to the West that might consider traveling through Nebraska on the way to or from Cody. If interstate travel is not your bag? I would reccommend Scenic Hwy 20 in the northern part of the state or Hwy 30 on the south end such as at North Platte then Hwy 92 (Ash Hollow) Oregon Trail route at Ogallala. Hwy 92 will bring you past historic Chimney Rock near Bayard Ne. If you would consider overnighting here in Scottsbluff on the 22nd or possibly the 23rd or again on the 29, 30 or 31st, I might be able to help with free lodging. Otherwise the Candlelight Inn owner indicated he would set you up with a nice room for $59 per night. Tell Keery "Phoneman" recommened them. Their number is 308-635-3751. Unsure if just yet if I can go, but I sure want to meet others if they pass through this way. FYI, 400 miles or 6.5 hours from Scottsbluff to Cody.
