Saddle Bag..Don had trouble with servers and has purchased a new server..Things are not back to "Normal" but he is working on it all while trying to work his job also..Scary logging on and seeing that! Tom

Ok folks,by now I think we have all seen the troubles and time,not to mention his own personal money,Don has put into this site. He never asks for anything in return and I feel it is not in his character to ask.While he works a full time job he has spent the last few days keeping the site up for our pleasure and a few posts have been made on making Donations but they are kind of hidden in other post subjects. Lets all IF YOU CAN try and send even a dollar to help him and Thank Him and Yes,help pay for the new server. I know all of you have met some great people on here and I personally have made some close friendships that I will cherish forever. I have seen a few posts that even the newest of members have sent in donations..That says alot about the site! Some may not be able to send in anything and BELIEVE me,Everyone can understand that and no one would EVER hold that against whoever but those of us that can lets say "THANK YOU DON" for this with a donation that is much needed at this time to keep a great site FREE! What about the latest fuels for our bikes?

One thing I THINK it has effected is my fuel mileage. It is my understanding that the government has REQUIRED at least a 10% mix of Ethanol be out in gasoline with those percentages rising over a period of time. Ive read some info on this and to be honest alot of it goes over my head. One thing for sure is my mileage has dropped from low 40s to mid 30s if driving 70. If I hold it to 65 I can get 40 IF NO WIND ETC. -
As a few have said the Force isnt a good engine and parts availability may be h^%& to find. I just helped my Dad get a 175HP Evinrude,1988 model running,had a broke crank,and Evinrude does not make the crank for that motor anymore..luckily I found a good used one in Florida and had it shipped. Running good now but be aware of parts .Also our humidity can be VERY bad on electrical wiring along with the fact that if it was ever used in salt water,disaster on EVERYTHING.

If the fan runs more to keep it cooler it seems to me you would lose power and fuel efficiency?(Due to extra load of fan running more)

I run the stock Avons and it made a HUGE difference in handling. Some run the smaller front but I do not see the need in it as I can Uturn with handlebars totally locked side to side now. Before I had the Dunlop 404s and while they were OK on mileage and overall wear the difference in handling is ABSOLUTELY better with the Avons. I do not run the leveling links as I feel I do not need them with the Avons.(Stock Sizes)

Bulbs are fairly cheap,since all the rust,buy some new ones and I bet it solves the problem..Be sure and have blinker on if it does not and wiggle the bulbs in socket,I had to replace a whole unit once.

Clean the connections where the bulbs fit in,(socket) they are bad about getting water in there and corroding causing a bad connection.I stopped mine from collecting water by drilling a small hole on the bottom of the lens.
