  1. Bill, I have to ask this? but are you getting a spot ready in your shop for the new 1800 V-max?I know I asked this before but If you are I would not mind taking a few of your toys off your hands heck Roadkill might want one of your toys aswell, he can add some miles on for you if you like. I seen the 2006-2007 V-max at the cycle shop down in Bowie TX. this past weekend Silver & Black. Boy it sure was pretty Would have stopped but Peg & I was having so much fun riding with Wildhair39 when we got back home it was close to being dark. Buddy

  4. Well Mr. Ambassador, We do not have much to offer our place is not that fancy. But anytime your in the area you will have a warm bed and hot meal my friend That's a promise... Next time your in this part of the country seeing your Daughter or Son give me a call I'll come over and say hi, you have my number . Besides its not hard to find our house its between the rock and the hard place. Well be seeing you soon L.A. Ron & Peg...
  5. Know what you mean Bill, That's why I ride my bike to work everyday. Whats bad is back in the 70-80's you could fill your bike up for $2-3.00 . Several years back you could fill the bike up for about $7-8.00 now I'm out $18.00 dollars, I'm in the wrong racket. What really hurts is Peg driving to work she drives 54miles round trip to work and back each day so you know that cost some money as well. We bought her a Monte Carlo and she already has over 25,000mi. At times I car pool with Peg when the weather is really nasty since She drives by my work everyday but the down fall on that part is I have to wait 1.5 hours for her to get off work bummer. Yep the weather will be good this week low to mid 70's here with maybe one day for chance of rain. even if the weather is in the low 30's I still ride the bike to work, but I'll be glad when its nice and warm out everyday, kick back and relax and enjoy the ride instead of hiding behind the fairing and freezing. buddy
  6. Hey Kenny, Tell L.A. hi for me oh and give him a big hug for me too. See you guys soon or later...... buddy
  7. Hang in there Meandog, your in our prayers big guy. May the Lord bless you and your family. Kenny thanks for keeping us up to date. Please let Nancy & Mark know we're praying for them! Buddy
  8. Excellent news Gary, We are glad your getting back in the saddle again. Sounds like Gene Autry song Back in the saddle again. Post some photo's of your new horse & saddle when you get it home. buddy
  9. As of yet they do not make the front tire in the Elite 3. One time I'm told they are contracted to Gold Wing others say they have never been produced? either way they can not be had period. I too like the Elite 3 as well but for the front I went with the Avon Am41 tire which works real good with my rear E3 tire. As for the Elite 2 tire . Dennis kirk new catalog has them listed again but in limited sizes and they do cover the 83-93 Venture some of the Gold Wings as well so Elite 2 is still being made for now. buddy
  10. HEY Rooster, :ice_awesome-vi46644:sign woo hoo: Excellent job Gerald Now when you ride your bike you'll feel better knowing things were taken care of!!!!!!! buddy
  11. Don't get me wrong I do like Petty racing for sure Heck my wife has some collectibles on Richard Petty, but you got to admit if it wasn't for dear old Daddy Kyle wouldn't have a ride !!! buddy

  13. Maybe due to the fact he has not had any Nascar Victory's in so many years and could not justify himself riding a VICTORY. Buddy
  14. I took Peg to the doctor last Wednesday due to a pinched nerve in her back, there were so many people there sneezing & hacking so much I tried to keep Peg from catching something instead I catch walking Pneumonia over the deal:sick: so I'm out until next week sure do miss riding the bike and hate being stuck in the house too, never thought I would get tired of watching TV. O well just wanted to say be careful everybody due to the fact that so many people are coming down sick this year. And the Medicine I'm taking is some strong stuff too. After 15-20min I'm ready to float away. buddy
  15. Give RickH a PM (Buckeye Performance)He can tell you everything you need to know about the spec's on the stator. buddy
  16. Today was nice in the 70's but what really made it nice was seeing geese flying over head this afternoon. I was out watering the live stock when I heard the Geese and looked up sure enough they were heading North not one or two flocks but 8 flocks of geese in a period of an hour I heard nothing but Geese. In each flock I lost count at around 60 - 70 I have not seen so many Geese like this in a long long time. Sure did make my day brighter. Geese flying North means summer is around the corner. Buddy
  17. Nice looking bike, 40,000mi Tell him once he has 100,000mi on the bike it would be broken in by then. heck I'll retire mine when it gets 200,000mi then again maybe not... Buddy
  18. Since you already have the motor out Dan that would be the best time to check them. I had a heck of a time doing mine . I bought my tool on the eBay had in my hands within three days sure does make things easier having that tool without it is a bugger. buddy
  19. Hey Dan, Peg shipped off your boost this morning I will PM you the USPS # . Hoping you get it by this Wednesday. Looking good Dan that baby will look new and badder than the junkyard dog. Later Buddy
  20. V-Max final drive bolts right on with no problems. I did remove the stud for the shock to keep from hitting saddle bag. Works great in pulling trailer in the hills and mountains, gas mileage does not change much either. V-Max final drive unit is a 86 model. buddy
  21. Hey John, Wish we could join you two. Have fun and let us know how things turn out. Tell Sally Peg & I said Hi. P.S. are you two planning on joining us up in Eureka Springs in Sept.? buddy
  22. L.A. I think the guy your talking about is Roy Jackson 405-634-3822 in OKC. The Yamaha dealer in Chickasha said he is the one to call for used Venture parts, just bet he is the one and the same. buddy
  23. Thom yes I have them on, I put them on the week before Eureka Springs run and boy did they ever help my knee's Thanks Tom they are working out great for me a course I only stand 5'11'' and 230lbs over weight . Any way they worked out perfect thanks Thom. And no I would not like going back to pegs, the floor boards allow my feet to move around taking the pain out of my knee's buddy
  24. Shaggy, I still have my extra seat setting in the closet if you want it .83-93 model front seam is coming loose but the rest is in great shape. Buddy
