i have looked at this already along with the service manual and the user manual. I did that before posting. i can't tell from the picture which end is larger. If you can, please let me know.

let me take an educated guess and see what you all think. the fat part goes to the inside so it will cushion the tank as we tighten down the bolt with the big non chromed washer that secures the tank to the frame. tomorrow should be nice here in louisiana and i may be able to get the thing on and go for a ride.

Ok, who put the straw in strawberry? you don't know - well, i'll tell ya - nature did - that's right - nature. who put the freak in french fries? you don't know - well, i'll tell ya - there aint no freakin french fries. know what else no one knows - including me - which way the freakin grommts go on my gas tank. no one can take a minute and look at their 2nd gen AND TELL ME HOW THE GROMMET IS ORIENTED. do you know how frustrating it is to ask a simple question and get no responses.

ok, venture folks, with the vast amount of knowledge we have here, would someone go out and look at their gas tank grommets/bushings and see if the fat part of the grommet is inside or outside.

I am going to put my tank back together after painting and then put on my 04 RSV. I went to put the front grommets back into the grommet hole & realized that one side is fatter. after looking at the service, user and parts manual, the pics aren't clear which side the larger end goes. Can someone tell me how to orient the larger grommet end - inside or outside of the grommet hole. I made a mental note of the orientation when removing them, but i have lost it. the mental note that is.

not to repeat other posts, but this will be a fairly easy once you narrow down the leak. just a matter of time. lets just hope no damage was done by the overheating.

it starts when you see a thread you want to read but then you see you need to get more to drink as your glass is empty. you go into the kitchen for more drink and find your glasses that you were looking for earlier when you were going to read an article in the paper but you laid the paper down looking for your glasses. then you remembered you wanted to see what was going on with venture riders. oh yea, i wanted more drink. get drink with glasses in hand. sit down to the computer and open ebay cause you rembered you had bid on something - then . . . . . . . . you get the picture.

kegger doodie tried this once on me already. we wound up adopting the pup we were "keeping awhile" for the daughter. it has become permanent - and is he settling in !! anyone wanting a new pet, kreg can fix u right up.

i bought 2 items and asked for combined shipping - i didn't get it. i was uuuupset. when I bought the 3rd item, i didn't pay, i added a nice but nasty note and the next day i got a response via ebay messaging that shipping for the 3rd item (which was the biggest) was only one dollar with an invoice. I was glad to see that and I got my combined shipping. I was told the guys shipping were quicker than billing so my combined shipping was missed. I feel better about them plus I got parts for my black gas tank for my white 04 RSV.

more signs of these hard times. some of the poor dealers may see that it is a bit late to start trying to be the kind of dealer that brings business to them rather than the poor business practices that pushed people out the door not spending any money.

yea, we did, I watched the lake level at Toledo Bend rise 4 inches. oh, wait a minute, I was walking down the bank. darn optical illusions ! ! !
