  1. Yes and you can position the bar and speakers any way you want. Voyager speakers sound as if they may work in this.
  2. What are Voyager speakers like? I need a new set for new (to me) ride.
  3. Use a flat piece of aluminum bar about 3/16" thick by 1 1/4 " wide 12 to 16" long enough to clear trunk. Drill hole in the end bolt it in with trunk mounting frame. Mount a small box speaker something like a computer speaker on other end of bar. Adjust to where you want it. I have this set-up but it is hard to describe. Just wire them in with front and run wires under seat.
  4. J C Whitney has mecury tubes that work almost as well. About a two week delivery time when I got mine. Didn't know about Carb-Tune or I would have gotten it. Can't handle mecury tubes the way you can Carb-Tune.
  5. Needs all them lights to see where them 1st Gens went!! :rotfl:
  6. A LITTLE different?? I think you got that covered!!
  7. Took a regular 9 ft. household extension cord, cut of plugs put clamps on and works great for bike and I did charge a car batery with it once. Hooked it up and ran about 15 min and car started. Guess it depends on how dead battery is.
  8. Yeah Cliff, They changed our uniforms when they found out gas melted them to you. Of course no one would do that to us right?
  9. Be very careful when riding curves in wooded areas. Leaves are as slick as Ice!!!!
  10. DUCT TAPE!!! So we can use stainless if we coat it with a silicon product when we put it togather? I have been looking at those bolt sets. Should I or shouldn't I ????
  11. We got the FrogMan for electric.
  12. Want to take my Basic book and go look one of these days and see who didn't come back. It is something never to forget. They rushed us through as fast as they could to go be targets!!
  13. Is he interested in moving a little East?? Sounds good.

    Oil

Do a very strong Sea-Foam treatment and then take a compression test. These things should read somewhere between 130 to 170 PSI. If it is lower than this put a few squirts of oil in the cylinder you are checking and check it again. If it raises you have damaged rings. If not the trouble is valves or head gaskets. But I would Sea-Foam it very strongly first. Be careful with oyher cleaners and NO DRI-GAS. It is bad stuff for the seals and things inside carbs. I have been told it is too strong but I use a full can of Sea-Foam with the tank only showing the last bar and run it till reserve light comes on. Works well for me.
  15. Looking at the pieces of "Black Beauty" today. They don't need paint!!!! Sure am getting the ITCH. Charlie done went and beat me in getting back up!!!
  16. I have new gravity gun.Prep is mostly getting things good and clean and scuffed up so paint can stick right? There is a solution you can wipe them down with before spraying isn't there? Get it good and smooth, be sure all waxes and oils are completely sanded away and it is dust free. Am I on the right track? Really like the idea of metalflake but it scares me a little. Not too worried about spraying as I did quite a bit of this with Enamel Paints about a century ago. Should just need to (brush) up a little.
  17. If she would see my fullface she would want one NOW. I have pics of the helmet and the"BLUE BEAST" and my leg but haven't mastered how to get them on here yet.
  18. That is my thoughts. Time to head for Sears. I have a cheap one from Harbor Freight that works great. I think they are on sale now for about $6.00 Have left mine on for long periods during winter with no problems.
  19. Skin Grafts, Wound Vacs bring back unpleasant memories. But I read about that young lady and I think why am I whining?Leather Jacket, Gloves, boots and good helmet or mine could have been a lot worse. One thing I got from this is, It is Full-Face for me from now on and it was just a accident that I was wearing the full-face that my kids had gotten me for my birthday. Trying to get used to it. And liked it except for puting it on and taking it off. So next one will be flip-face!! WEAR YOUR SAFTEY EQUIPMENT!!
  20. Best thing seems to be get some cheap paint and see how well my gun works??? Practice... Lets see I know of a Lawn mower that needs painted.
  21. At least Ipicked a easy one then right? Thanks Redneck I was only slightly confused before. I think I'll buy some water colors. Good thing I don't need paint to get on the road and that may be a while anyway got time to study. Does the pre-mixed metalflake come in a clear coat base?
  22. When I was with Uncle Sam I learned to spray pretty well, but we had a guy that always did the mixing and only sprayed O D Green Enamel. My best job was a General's jeep. I just added a little black to it and he thought it was something special. Is the metalflake sprayed in a regular gun? Do you just add it to paint during mix?
  23. Have saw several of these books advertised. Need one that covers every thing.
  24. Hey Paul while we are talking paint(something the "Blue Beast" didn't have much of) is there a book that would start me in the direction to do this myself? I have a spray gun and compessor and did some spraying for uncle Sam and learned to spray pretty good. Just don't know how and what to mix and would like to do Metalflake. The "Parts Bike" if you have seen my posts on that needs paint worse than the "Blue Beast" did. A dark blue with gold metalflake. Don't think I can get that in a spray can!!!!
