    With the 5th on the 1st Gen why would you want a overdrive. Not being smart just want to know. I haven't found the top of 5th yet and it cruises easy at 70 or 80 or 90.

    I think I remember having that problem a few years ago. Take the turn button apart and clean it. Be careful some little pieces in there I think, been a while since I done it.

    3rd gear repair?? I don't have that to look forward to do I??? Third is GO gear!!

    Can't wait to hear how this one ends. I'm a little worried about remembering where everything goes on "Blue Beast ll" or Project bike. I have a lot of screws and plastic. GOOD LUCK Fixit

    That could be it. A set of plugs in the spring is not a major investment if you don't go with the high-dollar ones. I personally think this is the best way to go but have been thinking a lot about the Ididrum. If I could spell it I might buy a set and see how far they went.

    Any time we put these things away for a while thay need to have Sea-Foam in them. Saves a lot of trouble.

    That might explain why when I walked into my Dealers and asked where the Ventures were he looked around and said "I don't know have you seen them??"

    Each tube should have a restrictor in it which is a litle thing that cuts down the flow through the tube. There should be one in each tube and they are very small.

    Sounds like you are missing one of the restricters.

    Lot of good battery info in this one plus I think I can adapt Al's test to see which of my accessories is causing me problems. Right?

    Use a good one without friction modifiers and change it often.

    The more I hear about this paint deal I'm gone to get me a brush and a quart of Latex and go at it!!! I think I can handle that and could have a new color every week.

    When you see the ages of these young men it really makes you think of how much they give up for us.

    That had to hurt. I think the biggest thingis get it in good outside light and look it over before signing anything. Sctatches and dings don't show up as well inside under artifical light.
