  1. I'm Blind!!!!
  2. Just for reference, a properly tuned 1st gen WILL scare the hell out of you. How old was your Beemer? I have had my 1st gens with the wheel off the ground both in 1st and 2nd gear, so there is plenty of power, you just have to get yours tuned right. Remember to keep in mind that your talking about a 20+ year old machine, there are lots of upgrades if you want gadgets. Enjoy new to you ride and check in often
  3. Allen, Sounds exactly like the sync is wrong, thats typical of a bad sync. You might find that one of the members close by you may be willing to come over with a carbtune for perhaps an Ice Cream
  4. Jack is right on track, I'm thinking right at that 13K mark but when someone pulls info up, it will tell that it's been in an accident. That will scare many people off, good luck in selling it
  5. Sounds exactly like what Lonna has...and is Carpal Tunnel. You need to go get it tested and they will do the surgery. Her symptoms are just what you have described to a T.
  6. Well I am getting older by the minute Jim....but I wasn't expecting Mike to come up with that. Good thing it was an almost pee'd
  7. I have seen them before, they were aftermarket, I believe VL. There is also a tail light screen just like it that goes on the rear light.
  8. Hello again
  9. You are....but I'm a bit more, Back up top
  10. If you bought it new with 1 mile on it, there's no way it was bought from an auction. I bought my '08 at Toledo east, it's a full warranty, I'm sure the dealer you took it to either did paperwork wrong or is trying to see if you'll cave. Their probably mad that you didn't buy it from them and are seeing if they can squeeze more money out of you. Give them 1 chance to make it right and apologize for what they are saying. If not then I would absolutely let them know that your contacting Yamaha and will be pursueing a formal complaint against them. And by all means DO THAT! dont let an unscroupulous dealer get away with anything.
  11. Thrust washer inside the case, not a fun job, but many of our members do it. As mentioned there are many write ups on it and if your mechanically inclined, you should be able to make it happen
  12. Let 'em go, if they wait for you then you know where you stand. If not, say a prayer for them and enjoy your ride.
  13. Nice job folks, just wish the country wasn't so big sometimes. Looks like you gave him a great send off, thanks for the pics
  14. I just about pee'd myself when I read this
  15. Gary.....so sorry to hear this my friend, I dont have words. The phone is on and were here for you
  16. Been running it in my Ventures for years, I have used the Dino stuff on the older ones, never had any problems with it
  17. That one has some rare Venture bling on it, good looking scoot, the paint looks real deep
  18. Nice place to visit, cool looking pics too
  19. Nice pics Peg, looks like it would be a neat place to visit
  20. I'm not 100% positive, but I believe that the '83/'84 might be a bit different than the later years. I know there will be some 1st genners offer up a bit more positive responce.
  21. Good on ya Bill! May you 2 have all the best in your life together, congrats
  22. Feel free to PM me if you have other questions, my cell # is also in my profile
  23. I have relocated several of them and I didn't cut anything off. I routed the wires to the left of the airbox and then ran a screw right through the stock ear and into the top of the airbox. The wires were a bit tight but worked well, never had an issue with the faux cover setting on, I'll see if I can drum up some pics, I know I took some of it.
  24. Interesting website, looks like we can use some of his experience in some of the rides for next year
