  1. I could do that
  2. Looking forward to meeting you at Maintenance Day Jonas, and a nice new scoot you have there
  3. Well he is mistaken if it's a Royal Star and an '86 because they didn't exsist in '86. Here's the next question, does it look similar in style to your RSV? Here is what NADA says it's worth if it's a '96 Royal Star http://www.nadaguides.com/default.aspx?LI=1-23-38-5697-0-0-0&l=1&w=23&p=38&f=5698&m=0292&d=1200014793&y=1996&ml=Y&gc=MC&gtc=MC
  4. DO IT! I have to say that I have always liked the front fairing on the Road Glide, that would be the Harley that I would own if I could afford one. I love the twin lights and shark nose fairing, I absolutely think you should do it....it's all about making it your own
  5. Dennis, Are you talking about a 1996 Royal Star or an '86 Venture??
  6. Good news Brother! Have a great 1st ride
  7. I imagine that he will see a lot of business from members here just by what you have said. Thank you Chris, and I will remember this when I am in need of parts
  8. Hello Kim... I absolutely remember you and it's good to see you on here, I dont know that we'll be able to make this one...but I know you will have a great time with the east side crew. We'll have to catch up with you and your beau here soon
  9. Thank You all
  10. Bob, It's nothing personal man, I know you, but if you post up something like this your gonna get HONEST answers. I appreciate that you want to share experiences and info with us, but dont get upset with us for doing it. It's all good man I can understand where your coming from, but I do sell a bit on eBay and I have had similar conversations with other buyers.
  11. Folks.... I absolutely appreciate the challenge that has been offered here by Cindy and her family. I have had others that has offered a very similar offer. I dont want anyone to take this the wrong way, and if someone does...sorry. I wont accept any other donations from Cindy, her heart is absolutely in the right place. She and her family are going through a very hard time right now, and I know they dont have extra monies to send an additional donation (They have already donated). There are 5 more days to this drive, we are very close to our goal. But...if we dont come up with the minimum, then Bobbie doesn't have to get inked, that is the deal. It's a tight race right now, we might make it and I hope we do, but I would like to see some others donate. 5 More days....and it's all over! THANK YOU TO ALL THAT HAVE DONATED
  12. I have always kept the tank full (so you wont get any condensation which leads to rust)with some sort of gas stabilizer, Seafoam or Stabil. Run it into the carbs to keep them from varnishing. Put it on a battery tender and keep it there. I have always tried, if the weather permits, to ride on January 1st. Also whenever the weather will break and there isn't any salt on the road and they have been dry for a few days.....98 cents less than a buck
  13. I take a look at it like this, if it's under $10 for shipping, my time is worth more than that. I dont think that the seller is out of line, and you did agree to pay that shipping charge. If you thought it was unacceptable, you should have contacted him before you bought it. Not trying to start a debate, but NOTHING is cheap anymore and for me to get a part shipped to my door for $10....yeah I'm all over that.
  14. I know it's off topic Jack, but do you folks have an idea on the time of year your going to try and have it??
  15. Thats pretty funny, but someone will buy it because it says it's for a biker. I know some members wear them on the bike, but there is no way that I will
  16. It's not about taking the entire house, if you take necessities for 2 and are going to be riding for 2 weeks then it is necessary. The bike is close to being overloaded 2 up with gear for a week. The trailer is a tool to have what you need and not have to worry about washing every other day. You need to have a variety of clothes for different weather conditions. I was in the Rockies in August and left Evanston WY. before dawn, it was 38 degrees, so I needed all my leathers as well as my wifes gear for her diabetes. Trailers make it safer to tour on a big where you need many different situational needs.
  17. I already did....and I'll let you know when I hit the 100K mark...in about 5 years
  18. Still Love ya POPS BTW I would love to go to western Canada, but I dont have the money or vacation...so I'm not of much help in your thread
  19. ....I know
  20. I still say your a spy
  21. I think you'll find that your among a minority here, I have used Irridium plugs in one of my 1st gens and I gained nothing from them. There was no great fuel mileage increase or power that the bike didn't already have. It's good to hear that you believe it gave yours a boost, but many of us have not had the same result as you.....98 cents less than a buck
  22. How tight are the steering head bearings? You might have to tighten them up a bit. Always possible that you threw a weight off it, just a couple of quick thoughts
  23. Thats the spirit, pop some vmax cams in it and
  24. I'll let you know when I finish putting the remaining 93000 and some change on mine
