How about you just replace it with a 35 watt H3 bulb made by Hella, I still have originals in my driving lights with a couple of thousand miles on them

We'll get some pics on here in the next day or so. For those that were on the fence about coming, you missed one of the best times! We had a blast and I really didn't want this weekend to end. We laughed so hard at some of the schenanigans (especially coming home over the CB's) that my guts still hurt. A HUGE thank you to all that made this possible, Herb for making a killer Marguarita, Larry for the accomodations and all that attended for the stories and laughs. This is one weekend I will not soon forget, Thanks all again and we'll post more tomorrow once were back in Houston

Squidley replied to naturbar's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
Lets put it like this, the redline on a 1st gen, with the same basic engine, is 8K. The Dyna will take the RPM's up to 7500 if I'm not mistaken and you also can advance the timing a bit with it. -

Your killing me Mr. Ambassador! I'm not even going to try and explain my actions on that day, it would be a lost cause. Looks like I'm gonna have to stay in the doghouse for awhile until I redeem myself in your eyes

Modern Day 1st Gen
Squidley replied to Sheradan's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
With that logic the 1st gen is a Goldwing clone, they are making bikes today that people want. Yamaha made the G2 to be a cruiser style as folks were buying Harley's, it's marketing plain and simple. BMW is a nice bike, with a HEALTHY price tag, ride what you like and whats comfortable for you. I have a H/D and even though it's a cruiser style the RSV is way more comfortable for me -
I have had several of both gens and I have to say that the G2 fits me the best. It's a LOT more comfortable for myself and my passenger. Lonna hates the 1st gen now after being on a G2 for so long, lots more room for her in the back. I know a lot of you fellas say the 1st gen is faster, and I have to say...so what? I can still pump it out on a G2 and lets face it, these are touring bikes, we aren't spring chickens anymore I can still go way fast enough on a G2 to kill myself quick! My knees dont tolerate the foot position of the 1st gen for long distance anymore, and for the major part that why I like the G2 better, it's like riding a sofa.

Thanks Eddie

Hey Gregg, Were not into a place of our own yet, still with Gunboat (Thank God for good friends) but I am going in for an interview with ABB on the 23rd of this month. If I get this job I will be repairing and refurbishing Azopod propulsion systems for the ship industry. I'm not getting my hopes up as if nothing else I am putting my face and name in front of some powerful allies. We'll get something going...then look out! gonna be a hell of a party Now back to your regularly scheduled programming
