All decked out and ready to lead the parade entry tomorrow... I just hope I don't find a garage floor full of window clings in the morning! Later, Scooter Bob :wel_ani3Tay: -
Sweet Mod! :think:Paper could also come in handy when you just gotta go in the middle of nowhere with only a tree in sight.... Later, Scooter Bob

That's gotta hurt. I think I would have quit after the first time, instead of doing it over and over and over... He should practice his brake stands in an empty parking lot... Later, Scooter Bob

In the week since I've been back, the warm temps I brought with me, and 3 days of rain, have gotten rid of all but the biggest snow banks. And I just had a ROBIN on our deck up here. :confused24:Wonder if he hitched a ride from Mississippi? Later, Scooter Bob

Weather Underground has this to say.... Sunday Cloudy until late afternoon then becoming partly sunny. Highs in the lower 50s. North winds 10 to 15 mph. We should have had plenty of rain to clean all the salt and crap off the roads. Should end up with a good turn out of bikes again. Come join the fun. Later, Scooter Bob -
The current target still is.... A picture of you and your bike in front of a little country church. by Scooter Bob

From the looks of the wiring diagram, both horns have power supplied from the signal fuse on the brown wire. The pink wire runs from the other side of the horns to the switch. The switch is then used to complete the circuit to ground. This is why you see power on both wires, although the pink is probably a bit lower voltage due to the resistance of the horn coil. Since these new horns probably draw higher current, you should probably use a 12 volt relay with the coil terminals wired in place of the horn, brown and pink. Then run a larger fused wire from the battery to one side of the switched terminal on the relay and connect the horn positive to the other side of the switched relay terminal. Ground the horns to chassis and you'll be all set. Any more questions, let me know, Scooter Bob

That time of year again. Everyone's It's the unofficial start of riding season in Dodge County, WI. Our ABATE region has had an entry in this parade for better than 25 years. We've had as many as 80 bikes on the warmer years. Line up is on Crocker St, about 3 blocks south of downtown, off hiway 33. Parade starts at 1, downtown party afterwards. If anyone here wants to join us, and would like more details, let me know. Later, Scooter Bob and Karen P.S. since I'm the Regional Rep, the ABATE group bike ride through the parade will be led by our 05 midnite with an 8 foot flag pole on the hitch.

I saw more bikes on the road in the county I live in, than I've seen since heading north from Charrlette, NC. Everybody enjoying the 40 degrees and sunshine:sun1: here in Wisconsin. Even the two Beemer Riders had time for a big Wave. Later, Scooter Bob

I met up with Jeff (Red Rider from Fond du Lac) just over the border into WI. I had to deliver a load of bootleg, out of state, turkey pot pies from Indiana. Also swapped my stock seat for his with the Butler mod done to it. It wasn't the miracle my butt was hoping for, but probably cus my butt was already shot. Certainly wasn't any worse, so I think I'll keep it. Probably work much better with a fresh butt on it, and no snowmobile suit. Ended up BSin' for over an hour Nice seein' you again Jeff (outside of work). We'll keep in touch. Later, Scooter Bob

Got home a little after 3 yesterday, a nice easy 310 mile day to end the trip. 3,570 miles for the trip! Nice way to start out the riding season! Took I 94 from IN all the way through Chicago this time (probably cus I had garmin set for no tolls). Had to slow down to 30 mph for about 2 minutes near downtown, other than that I was more worried about getting run over, and I was doing 70! Life is so good! As I crossed the state line into WI, John Denver was blairin' through the speakers from the roadhouse channel on XM. He was singing "hey it's good to be back home again" And when I get into town, I had to just crank up the tunes again. The Carpenters were singin' "I'm on the top of the world" as I rolled into the driveway! Thanks again to everyone that has been following along and enjoying the trip with me! A few more memories to follow, Scooter Bob

I think it will be less than 300 miles, and this trip is done. Leaving in the bright sunshine again, Life is good. I'm on the way honey. Will probably stop in Valparasio and pick up some turkey pot pies for Red Rider. These scavenger hunt targets keep getting tougher. Probably won't get on the puter tonight, as I have some things to take care of when I get home that I can't discuss on this PG site. Later, Scooter Bob

1985 Honda Spree 50 cc scooter. I bought it just to get around town. I found out I liked riding that summer. I put 2,000 miles on that thing in 2 months. Had it in every town within 30 miles of Beaver Dam. 30 m.p.h. on the back roads with my legs stretched out aross the turn signals. Decided I liked riding so much that I went and bought a 1983 sporster after Labor Day, and have been riding ever since. Later, Scooter Bob P.S. While looking for a pic on the web, found out they have they're own owners group. And the guy is selling this one for more than I paid for mine at the dealer new!

I think it was in Georgia, but maybe Northern Florida or Southern SC, they had a sign on the interstate warning Motorcyclists of Crossing Grooves in the pavement. I was quite impressed with the flashing sign put up by the Sherriff's Dept about 30 miles west of Daytona on a two lane road. It was flashing between "Watch for Bikers" "Look Twice" "Save a Life" Later, Scooter Bob
