WOW, that helped a bunch. But, I still don't recognize it. Guess I better get out and ride some more huh? Later, Scooter Bob The current target is...A picture of you and your bike and a real steam powered locomotive. Doesn't have to be running. Any park exhibit or museum piece is fine. Have fun with it. by Scooter Bob

You've stumped me on that one. Guess I'll need a few more hints. I've been all over this state many a time over the last 20+ years, but I don't recognize anything in that pic. I'll say woops. And i quoted your message and still didn't read it all. It's on the way to Karen's Mom's house. Oh, that doesn't help much either? It's on County road "F" (yes, the county roads use letters in WI) 1/2 mile east of the intersection of Blackhawk Trail in Northern Dodge county. Is this what you were lookin' for Mike? Must not have been built very well, there's no house there now, just this sign. If so, the next target is... A picture of you and your bike and a real steam powered locomotive. Doesn't have to be running. Any park exhibit or museum piece is fine. Have fun with it. Later, Scooter Bob

Thanks for the update. I'll be putting this on the agenda for our ABATE meeting Tuesday night. We've been following this all along. We'll probably discuss it today during our Motorcycle Awareness Rally in Beaver Dam. We'll be holding up awareness signs for a couple hours on a busy street. Hope it helps wake up a few people. As it is, one of our newer members will be sitting in a chair holding a sign that says "this is what happens when you don't look twice" He has 13 broken bones in his foot from a left turn cager that "didn't see him" a week ago. Thanks Again, Scooter Bob -
Karen gets off.... and on from the right side. So I guess it's 5 for the left and one for the right. Later, Scooter Bob

That bike sure was lookin' clean and shiny before you left the house. Glad ya missed all the armadillos and made it in safe. Enjoy the rest of your ride. And keep the pics comin'. Later, Scooter Bob

Don't go under the seat, unless you have some other reason to... All those wires can be found if you remove the license plate. That's a junction for all of them. Just a thought, Scooter Bob

My first x-wife bought me 4 shares for about $100 in '89 or '90. I cashed 60 (split that many times) of my 64 shares in 99, about $3,000, for a downpayment on my first NEW bike, 99 flhtci. Later, Scooter Bob

Fuel milage seemed to go up quite a bit around 40k. That's when I thought mine got "broken in". Later, Scooter Bob

You'd think +1 billion could cover quite a few years of -75 million. But then again, I haven't been to math class for 25 years. That's big business fer ya. Where they thinkin' of going? Will everyone be ridin' foreign bikes in the near future??? Later, Scooter Bob

I hope you got straight south in a hurry. If you did, you might not have taken you're shower yet. (just looking at when you posted and where the storms were) Have a great trip, and keep us posted. Me, I'll be workin OT to get that machine done by next weekend. Later, Scooter Bob

Ok, we won't go to the local fire station and open the doors, but... We'll keep an eye out for one on our trip to the Iowa M&E this weekend. Later, Scooter Bob The current target is.... You, your bike, and a fire truck. Bonus points if a fire fighter is in the picture. by straycatt

I put heated grips on, but they weren't cuttin' it when I headed south end of Feb and it was 8 degrees out. I put a chemical hand warmer on the back of my hand inside a $25 pair of 150 gram thinsulate ice fishing gloves. Life was good, did 460 miles that day. I can't believe I never used them thing all these years. I also had one of those same hand warmers between my regular and wool socks in the arch of my foot inside my snowmobile boots. My riding season just got waaaay longer. Later, Scooter Bob

I'm surprised at the number of folk proceeding slowly from now green lights just in case. I know I do...and on the bike too... Later, Scooter Bob

Factory Customized. regular ones are in the $21,000 area last I looked. Later, Scooter Bob

I've often wondered why they don't put the balanced motor on solid mounts in a bagger. Should be able to lower seat height and stuff when you don't have to have that extra 2 inches of room all around the motor to let it shake. How new are your friends bikes? In 09 the stretched the frame and stiffened it up quite a bit for more stable handling and passenger room. Last HD bagger I rode was an 07, and wasn't impressed. I will try an 09 or newer somday, just to see what it's like. But it would have to be waayy better to get me to switch back to them again. Just my $.02, Scooter Bob

Just head West. You got a week to get to Riverside Casino, and we'll lead you back to flatland. Check it out...... http://www.venturerider.org/forum/calendar.php?do=getinfo&e=187&day=2010-05-01 Later, Scooter Bob

Often, my friend. They're built for it. If a bike couldn't get wet, a bunch of us wouldn't have been to most or all of the states in this country. Go out and blow dry it tomorrow. Later, Scooter Bob
