  1. I've got one floating around, how much you want to donate to St. Jude's? Plus shipping.
  2. Reboot: turn the computer off and start it back up?? FF3.0.12 works fine, I went to 3.5 and this site won't load right though I do not have any problems anywhere else. So I use IE8 for this!
  3. Brian, mine did the same, computer would reset while driving and eventually would go blank and stay blank for an indeterminate period of time. Pulled the display and re-soldered it. No more problem, Well, not there anyway:innocent:
  4. that's a current pic??? Last time we were there (Christmas '08) they had this huge cluster of trees sitting between where the bike is sitting and the fountain. 'Twas hideous!
  5. just did mine, mostly a PITA. Pulled the entire system and did not have to remove the bags. mine had three broken welds on the collector mounting bracket and a crack on the fourth as well as a hard to spot crack on the down tubes where the bolts are welded in. One minor issue I ran into was that about half the mounting studs came out when I tried to remove the allan head nut. Rocket was kind enough to help me out and advised moving the brake reserevoir and at least loosening the frame brace. Even without tech article it's relatively easy to figure out once you start pulling stuff of. Have fun!

    Road Rage

Lest we forget .....these are! the people!! As for the latter entity, you voted them into office and you keep doing it again and again (as a registered alien I am not allowed to vote) Key words: personal responsibility; independance; self reliance; freedom of choice
  7. We have one name Tigger, lives up to his name. pesonally i call him "stamp": stupid annoying moronic pest! wouldn't bother me none to give that sucker away! now, now that would still leave three more and five cats!
  8. Yup! got a tempurpedic. Brenda at first wouldn't even consider it, 'causer it didn't look 'fluffy'! got her to sit down on one and she was sold. still might want to consider not diving into the bed; 'fluffy' has certain avantages. Think they have a program where you can try one for three(?) months. Took us about a week to get used to it, we felt that you had to adjust to having to pick yourself up to turn over as opposed to sliding around. Doesn't the select comfot have air chambers? Seems they have one of those try one deals as well. Then again a regular matress is half the price and lasts half as long.
  9. I try filling up around 150 and add about 4 gal. The guage has been more acurate since I've redone the computer module. Theoretically 200 is possible, but a fuel stop every two hours don't bother me none! Now on the Shadow ....... Rididng that longer distances i start to understand why my stepson needs a break every hour on his HD:stickpoke:
  10. Don't know if this would work, but could you set it up so that people could edit the .doc (or change it to excell) to add their address and save you having to get it from everyone individually?
  11. Used ..... now if you change your mind and want a new one (two)......
  12. The triangular inserts with louvers that cover the rear cylinders? got a brand new set, still in original wrapper w. parts number on it. What are they new (worth)?
  13. I'll second that, I bought some highway boards and thought I had them set up just fine, couple of weeks ago it dawned on me maybe I should lower them just a tad, I did and they are much better now. If you do want to swap though, I do have a set similar to that, just a different clamp. Just let me know.
  14. Well, that should hopefully solve the problem; when the shop replaced my head gaskets they showed me the heat shield (pics in maintenance album), two big gaps where the plastic melted!! If it got that hot it had to be exhaust from somewhere so I finally dropped the pipes. Found the following issues: the bracket holding the collector to the frame had three broken welds and the fourth had a small crack (1/4 inch); the gaskets seem to be in good to reasonably good condition, the "Y" connector had a good 1/2 inch crack at one of the welded on bolts on the right side. I poured water in that thing and it was all but pouring out. Funny thing is I didn't see the crack and neither did the shop or the mufler shop. The metal heat shield would have funnelled that hot air right up and out the side panels under my ham hocks. Just need to re-assemble now!
  15. If the shop screwed up his carbs, should the shop not fix his carbs?? Just wondering.
  16. Hey! I'd jump on one, I think the Vision is one wicked looking bike, now if it only had a V-max and a shaft ......
  17. not a problem, consider running a google search as well on "sidecars for sale" that's where I started looking. Oh and if it hasn't sold yet there may still be a beemer (K75?) w. Flexit (leaner) for sale in PA. Let me know if you want me to find out. Good luck in the search! Out of curiosity, why not a trike with custom rear seat?
  18. Hm! works fine for me. did you try copy/paste? did you try the long way? Goto www.sidecar.com there's a red rectangular box with itty bitty letters center top. click on "the forum" scroll down to the one forum called "complete rigs for sale" I think you can view as a guest. here's a sample: '02 Vstar w. 03velorex 8K obo '99 honda ace 1100 w.matching car 6K '04 honda VTX w. california sidecar 9800 '06 RSV w. texas sidecar 15K silverwing w. velorex 3750 If you still can't get it let me know and i'll get details. there's acouple of beemers and several HD's as well. Not all have pics and i have a hard time downloading from that site.
  19. go to sidecar.com > forums >classifieds > complete rigs for sale. Or try this: http://www.sidecar.com/megabbs/forum-view.asp?forumid=7
  20. Where do we stand on this, who will be the distributor, where do we send money/paypal/CC. This thing seems to fit in a flat rate box so what will the final price be. $42?? I've got the bike apart now so I'd like to take care of this while I've got it apart.

  23. Shazamm!! Got it of, too much fun for me to do for a living! Anywho, Paul (Rocket) thanks for the imput!! Some may remember I had a heat issue which started some time ago, If you happened to see the pics in my maintenance issue album showing a melted heatshield you'd understand that things got hot down there, including my legs. hence my quest to get this dadburn thing out and find the problem. The attached pics show the joint between the rear cylinder headers and the elbow, seems rather rough, but I never had these things off before. You can also see a white residue on the inside of the pipe (same on front pipes). Is this a normal appearance? (24K miles) The other pic shows the back side of the "Y", in spite of the flash glare, you can also see this white stuff on the weld from the top bolt to the bottom one, as though it has a slow leak leaving calcium deposits. Would I be pushing it to say that I have a pinhole leak in the Y and would the seal between the headers and the Y cause some kind of blowby? Paul already suggested that the studs coming out when trying to remove the headers may have been a factor as well. On the bright side, now I can fix (read "remove") that rattling baffle!
  24. OK, tempted to ask if you're smoking crack!! Been fighting this thing about 0900 this morning. Pulledplastic heat shield, removed rear headers which meant the whole GD header bolt came out on htree of them, moved master cylinder, still cn't get it up!:bang head: (no not that!!!) the metal heat shield behind the Y connector is blocking it and I can't see where the heck that attaches. getting frusrated here!
