  1. I think I over did it once or twice with the seafoam. Swaped out the plug that was fouled/not fireing and she ran well again.
  2. My van blew a head gasket last week. I have been on the bike a week now. Looking for a van and going to work. Its been below 30F every day, when I leave in the morning. I must say the bike has been great about starting and such. since being pressed into duty. Now it looks like rain for another week.....sigh. Glad I have all the gear now. Better pray I find a van or it 6 more weeks of winter.
  3. I have a new set on my 88. I like them alot. I run them at 40/40lbs Nice tires.
  4. Sounds like a good event, but on 9/11 I'll be @ GZ. There is a whole lot of stuff going on @GZ that day. Stuff thats too touchy to talk about here. We need as many patriots that can go and support the American way of life to come to NYC. The fifty or so bikers that pulled in at the site was a big lift for many, including me. The police let them all park right in the street, that was closed for the rally. I encourge east coasters to come to GZ on 9/11. I rode my bike in from Philly and had a great day with my fellow Americans. The wackos need to see and feel our resolve on certain matters of honor and the murder of 3000 of my people. I will NEVER forgive or forget. Thats all I can say here. Thanks. God Bless America!
  5. I got mine for $1500.00 and have been lucky. Because, all I needed was tires, bleed the clutch and run some "seafoam" thru her then new plugs. Mine has no CB, or Air unit. A near perfect, all the bells and whistles. goes for 2500 or so. You should try and ge em down some. Also I am in Delco, PA, and plan on going to see Skydoc sometime this spring. I say it every year and have not been able to go, so far. I just want him to give it the once over cause hes one of the gurus in the club and can see stuff I wont. If you want to take a ride out with me let me know. I'm thinking in May. Oh yeah. Singup. The site is a must if you buy the bike. And they are a nice bunch of guys and gals.
  6. Shes a good dog, no doubt. Put something on her cuts and cook her a steak. She deserves it. The vet use to give us some sulfur powder to put on stuff like that. Back in the day. Worked well.
  7. Im getting mine from NAPA. Part #PS4933. They have them the next day for me, at about 6.50 a piece. I think its a WIX filter. Looks well made, comes with all the gaskets.
  8. My first bike that I owned that I bought and payed for. Was, a v30 Magna. It was fast as hell too. Did 113 downhill one day on it. But in hind sight, I should have got a slower bike. I highsided it. Thank god no cars were coming in the other lane. Me sliding in front of bike, it tumbling towards me. I was lucky, just got body slammed, leather did its job. But I now wear pants with hip pads cause thats where the slam got me. I did pick it up and ride into work, just a broken fork brace twisted handlebars and dent in tank. The Magnas rev way too high and are too fast/fun for the bikes handling if you ask me. Nice bikes but the V4 is a bit needy. Get him the Virago, they are nice smooth bikes. The starter can be addressed, if need be.
  9. I did 90mph or so for almost two hours on the NJ turnpike. Bike was rock solid and loved it. Felt like it could do it all day.
  10. I play guitar, and some computer games.
  11. I broke her out of the shed today. She fired right up and I went around the block a couple times. I need reg,ins etc. I may sneak in a ride tomorow if I feel lucky. Everything else seems good to go. Almost 70* in Philly on friday.
  12. Bike has sat for two months on the battery tender. Today I went in and she started right up with full choke. Waited 30 seconds then took choke off. She is running better than when I put her up...lol I topped off the tank and treated her with "Startron" for the winter. It seems to have worked very well. Let her idle for 10 mins then went around the block several times. Felt pretty strong when I jumped on it...Life is good. "I dont want a nickle...." PS: Very nice video, and a slick cam setup too. Thanks.
  13. Thats a sweet axe. Purdy too. Say you can swap out pickups, cause they plug in or something? http://www.taylorguitars.com/guitars/electric/Models/SolidBody/
  14. lol... Think you have enough help? Welcome aboard
  15. I made it to 16.86 after like 10 trys. First time was instint fail. ,234 seconds or something...
  16. I caught it, Was disapointed in her. The other girl was too, over the top, also. Wheres Kate Smith when you need her...oh yeah. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=koR5SYrOgIU]YouTube - Kate Smith Sings God Bless America[/ame]
  17. "Worst halftime show, ever!" Slash was good, but did you see him run off stage when his bit was over. Me and my buddies just ripped it all the way thru. It was painfull.
  18. You should be able to run 256/512 until you get two 512 sticks. I have a 512 for free, if you want it. I may be able to dig up two. I have alot of old stuff. Also if you are using "onboard" graphics card. It makes a big diff if you install a dedicated vid card. Have that for free also. You pay shipping. SuperAntiSpyware is a good virus tool as is Malewarebyte and Windows Defender....From Microsoft. Is good to. I bought the pro version of SAS cause it worked so well on something I had. It has a "realtime" scan that I run 24/7 also. It all helps but you can allways step in it...lol Ctrl+Alt+Del is your freind if you see some AVS warning crap popup on you. Hit it fast and cancel it,explorer etc. Sometimes this will save you from the nastys.
  19. Just get one you can read. Mine is so small. I can't see the little LCD, even with glasses. On the 1st gen I use a cass converter to plug the mp3 into the radio. Works..not great. I might try a FM reciever thinky this spring. It might sound better.
  20. I also have a big ass kicking dog...lol I pity the fool that has to deal with him one on one.
  21. OOORAH! Thats how it should be done.
  22. I do about 65mph most times on the slab. If traffic is moving faster, I will go with flow. The bike likes to go 75 or more. Like I have metioned in the past. I had her doing 85-95mph for a good 45 mins or and hour. And the old girl just loved it. Cars were still passing me at those speeds too. I was on the NJ turnpike going south from NYC. Its a nice toll road.
  23. I have been adding it to the 88 Venture and the bike seems to like it better than seafoam. Which is a good product as well. Seafoam got my carbs cleaned up from before I bought the bike. But I fouled the plugs a couple time using too much. And i didn't seem to be able to get the last bits of blockage. I had and still have a little stumble sometimes when I jump on it. The Startron seems to help with that alot more. Keeps it running better in a more consistant way. My 4.6 ford van loves it too. Runs better as soon as I add it...LOL. So I like Startron.
