  12. Nice ride and glad to see you on the bike with all the goodies working the way you want. As I havent been on the site long I am unaware of the crash you spoke of. Not meaning to pry but it does kinda put an answer to the question of what hapened to you. Again not meanig to pry and if I am offending or overstepping my bounderies then I apologies. Glad to see you have gotten over all as well as you have. I personally am fighting deamons every day myself. But with every trip in the saddle the deamons seem to get further away. Congrats David
  13. Donb cant do the work on the 90-93. Already sent him a text trying to get my 91 repaired and that is what he told me. David Ps ignatech says they canmake you a new one and deliver it to your door for just a little over $200 dollars. Compared to yamaha wanting $999.99 thats not a bad idea. Iv'e been watching a thread on it to see how well it works.
  14. just had this happen to me and took out the drain screw, let it all drain out and then turned the key on (I did not start the bike) to let the fuel pump flush out whatever was in there then reinstalled. The bike even runs better now. I also added an entire can of seafoaminto a full tank and drove it till it was almost empty. Then ran a second can of seafoam throughout 4 tanks of fuel. Good luck. David
  15. congrats on the ride. Hope it was as much fun as it all looked. David
  16. we klnock those things a lot but it doesnt really matter. 2 wheels are 2 wheels. Put in what it means to you personally and its worth more than can be explained. Great bike and great friends. good luck with her and now we need to see you at more M&E when you get closer to us. Beings as you now cant say the bike is broke down, you have a spare. Congrats a keep her up on the spirit she was given. David
  17. if it gets cold enough I'll be wearing either my dickies bibs or my hunting bibs. The dickies arent quiite as warm as the hunting bibs, so it needs to really drop for me to wear the hunting bibs. Untill them I,ll just wear my leather. Although for me it hasn't gottoen that cold yet. I've just now started wearing my denim jacket. David
  18. we have to pic on you 2nd geners. On the site is the only place you can keep up. Welcome to the site> dAVID
  19. many thanks to all. Especially skydoc17 and mbbrood. Without the pms and pics I might not have figured it out. Turns out it was a stuck float or at least I am assuming it was. I open the bowl screws one at a time and turned on the key to let the fuel pump work . The rear right (as you sit on the bike) carb took saveral times of opening up as the first time I rook out the screw nothing came out. I used a paper clip opened up and a lot of junk came out. The thing would acyually hold pressure with the screw out. Guess its time for a tear down and cleaning. On the other hand it runs and starts much better now. Thanks again to all who helped on your end. David
  20. no apologies neccesary. brought atear to this old mans eyes. david

  22. looks greta and my reflector is already prewired I just plan on adding the leds and removing the original lighting. What color bulb are you using? Have read a little as to whether or not ot use white or red bhind a red reflector. Tahnks in advance and it looks great. David
  23. Now that is nice. How much to have one made? I dont have the tools to do this myself. maybe put it in the classifieds as a kit.. David If I can ever get home to get the fuel to stop leaking and then save up for a gps that is.
  24. that shure is a purdy blue. Me I been thinking of putting on a fresh coat of pearl white. Who knows. David
  25. I was thinking it was a fuel line leak also so I turned the key onand let the fuel pump pressurize the system. Left it on for about 10-20 minutes without cranking the bike with no fuel leak and the fuel pump never had to kick back on. Cranked the bike and within a few seconds the fuel started leaking just above the rear shock directly under the four rubber lines. I cant get my hands into the lines to pull them up to see if one of these lines is the colprite or not. Will try again fri. as I'mm going out of town in the morning and want be back till thurs. night. not sure if this is in my league or not, David
