    hey Ron, many prayers and well wishes are sent for you and your friends. The grieving process is hard and we all have to go through it once in a while. Now may not be the time for you as I dont know where you are in your process, but here is a good way to look at this situation. First of all this is not your fault, our maker decided and no matter what you did even if you had been standing there to do what you could , god would have taken your friends , so stop blaming yoourself. And second but most important is that god decided to give your friends an early christmas gift. HE took them in his arms and told them how much he loves them and showed them there eternal home within his grace. And hopefully there is a set of twins I'll put nin a prayer to to get them to see your friends and lewt them know how much you care and wish you could have done more.     the length of my 91 vr is just over 8 and a half feet from front of tire to back of trailer hitch. The trunk actually sits a little further than that back. Wich is why I said its seldom inforced. David

    I do know as I recently got my motorcycle endorsement.Been riding on a lerners permit(long story). One of the quetions asked was about parking. I didnt know but guessed anyways and got it wright. Answer was bike must be parked on a 90 degree angle with one tire touching the curb. This is a NC state law but is very seldom enforced in the city I live in. Ope this helps. DFavid

    thanks skydoc. Itll be after christmas before I can get things un der way, but I will be in touch with you. I would also like to pay your for your time too. Not trying to be cheap just willing to pass along what I already intend to spend in nthe first place to someone I know instead of an ebay seller. I'll let you know first of the year if thats ok. Itll take me that long to get my hands on the spike and the cash to get things shipped and work done. My father in law is a leather smith of sorts so getting a sheath shouldnt be a problem either. Let me know if that time line works for you. David

    for me its mostly about the looks, but also if an old spikeis used it has (from my understandin) a lot of carbon stell instead of stainless. It should hold a blade better. But like I said its just coll looking. Even seen a few made from railroad screws. David

    any blacksmiths here. I am looking for someone to make a hunting knife out of a railroad spike. I know I can find them on ebay but would like to find someone on the site instead of an annnonamous seller. Anyone interested. give me a pm. David

    Now look what you done did. All this talk of snow and you made it snow here in NC. WHy you gonna do me that way? Guess it dont matter anyways the bike is down till sometime next week anyways. New tires want be in till sometime between tues and thurs. The back tire had a flat and when I plugged it and pumped it back up a belt broke and a large knot popped up on the tread. SO I say let it snow , let it snow, let it snow. David

    I 've got the same set. Started haveing the same problems with intermitantly not coming on and sometimes going out during riding. My problem ended being the switch. Started doing it after a bad rain storm. New switch and so far all is well. David

    first go to this web site and pic ouot the states youve ridden and create the map then save to my pics on your computer http://www.epgsoft.com/VisitedStatesMap/ Then go to user cp on the top in the blue. Scroll down to edit signature on the left and then click. On the page that comes up scroll down to the bottom till you see the signature pic edit section ( not sure of exact name). In this section you will see a browse area click on it and go to your pics and then click on the pic that you created. it should then dowmload it to your signature and you can preview your signature and adjust as needed. I ts a little long winded but its how I did mine. Hope this helps. David

    Not sure about the new one, but honda made a 1100 or 1150 VFR INTERCEPTOR with a v-4. Tons of power and fun to ride It was back in the late eighties . Rode real good but I was also 20 years old. David

    just wanted to say thanks to all the kind words. As I have already stated, I am a lucky man.NOt only Am i married to my beat friend but now I have found a new family to help me selebrate. We ended up going out to eat at a resteraunt we dont go to much because of the expense, but she loves it. A dozen roses also magically appeared at her place of work( she had to work that day). ANd then back home to spend precious time together. Tahnks again for all the kind words. David

    Hopefully you are wrong. Just was given a trip to Wisconsin for next year to go on a Archery hunt with one of my hunting buddies. HE has been there 2 times already and has seen many deer. So I do hope that I get to see some when I go. Club rules are 1 mature doe before you take a buck and it has to be at least three years old. Maybe we can hok p when I get up there. David
