So I now have the gears for the transmission to replace my second gear issue. As an added bonus, it still has the neutral switch still on it, so I can modify my '83 to have a gear indicator! Gary it sounds like he planning on using the tranny to fix second gear issues and neutral switch to add gear indicator on his 83 , not using the motor itself. I could be wrong though,its been known to happen. David

    thats what i was telling you........click on the word forum .....after the next page pops up if you scroll to the bottom of the forums page it will tell you if anyone is in there without having to launch the chat room. DAvid

    yes , click on forum in the second blue highlighted line at top. then scroll down to the bottom you will see chat line statistics and that tell how many rooms and how many peaple are in the chat rooms. David

    ok folks lets not put all the blame on cagers. Im a commecial painter. I put 60,000 or better miles a year on a full size e250 ford van. Im in that seat more than my bike. Does that mean I look for motorcycles because I ride? Yes. Does it happen. Unfortunately yes. I almost hit a couple on a small bike last year by pulling out in front of them. No cell phone, food or any other diversion. I simply didnt see them. Luckily he saw me and I opolgiesed profusely to him and he seemed to understand after he cussed me fro being an uncaring cager. I had to show him my m endorsement on my liscense to prove i ride and feel his anger. It happens to us all and not seeing someone on a bike is no excuse but lets not start out by sayinf none of us are ever in a cage . And please dont put yourselves as perfect and you always see because you ride. I know Im more sensative to a biker than most cagers. BUt the only perfect human to walk this earth was Jesus and God. Lets not say we are perfect. David

    havent had my knees done but I feel your nervousness. I was scared ####less myself when I had my hands done. I know they are no where near a knee but I make my living with my hands. Do what the docs tell you and all will be well. Good luck and we at the painter house will be praying for you David

    now if you dont mind spending a little cash. You can get an mp3 player and play through though auxilary if its a 2nd gen or through the casette player with an adaptor if its a 1st gen. Just an idea and you could then pic music from your personal library. David

    cant speak for the mechanical end of whats going on btu I will coment on the sheko. If its the tourmasters hes got on there I would doubt its a tire problem. I put set of them on my 91 and only draw back I had was tire wear. The rear tire was bald at the 7000 mile mark. Now the front is still on there and has close 2 12,000 on it with a cople three tousand more left on the tread. When it goes Ill probably put another one on as I do like the feel of the shenko front and e3 rear. Looved the shinko tires at all speeds . Especially in the twistys as this tire gripped like a gorilla on steroids. I know it didnt answer the ?? but just a little info on Shinko tourmaster tires from my side of the road David

So far it works well with no leaks. It did seem to take a little less oil to fill to half way up the site glass though. Guess the l25288 purlator filter is a little smaller than the original filter housing. David

    Im not in kentucky but Id say keep up the fight. north carolina just recntly added crossbow to everyone not just disabled hunters.n its another outlet for me as I was always hesitant with a compound bow because I m not able to put the time into practice. With the crossbow its more ethical tomhunt with. And yes I can fire 2 or 3 times with a copound and only get off one with crossbow david .

    as few have already said try bleeding and flushing completly. My clutch did this also and I thought I lost my clutch. Bled it and flushed till it was clean and my clutch came back to better than it was when I bought it. This has happend twice to me and both times I was pulling the trailer. Good luck as I am of no help to you on how to replace the slave David

    if the leak is at the joint then still easy. get piece of pipe matching diameter and a 45 coupling.. Cuut out 45 coupling with saw,one cut on each side. glue short pieces into coupling and use the ferncos in the same manner as instucted on the video before just use the new coupling in place of the old one. David Thanks Barend I didnt catch that it was the coupling itself leaking I thought it was the verticle downpipe after the 45 dgree angle
