  1. I went to 3 different stores yesterday looking for ammo. Cheaper Than Dirt- Only odd calibers in stock, Cabelas, same story, 10mm, 357 Sig... ect. Academy Sports no handgun ammo at all in stock. The guy at Cabelas told me a strange story. He said that as employees they have no idea when shipments of new guns and ammo will come in. He said he shows up for work most days and the place opens up and people start to trickle in as usual. Then about every 7-10 days he will show up for work and the parking lot is full and a line wraps around the building waiting to get in. Sure enough, a new shipment of guns and ammo will be waiting to be put on the shelves.
  2. Go with this one. Has a check valve and is a better alternative IMO. 40171 - 12V Neg. Ground, 3.5 - 2 PSI Max, 15 GPH, 1/8 x 27 internal pipe ports This site has the best price I have found. http://www.aircraftspruce.com/catalog/eppages/facetpumps.php
  3. A friend of mine came down with the Whooping Cough last week. Nasty stuff..
  4. I am on day 6 and starting to see light at the end of the tunnel. Today is the first day where I feel like I just may pull thru.
  5. There are some pics of one in my profile. I contacted "Tripmasters" Roberts wife after he passed and she referred me to his son. He informed me that all of the patents that Robert designed for the Venture were sold. He would not give me the the name of the buyer, but said it was one of the larger accessory suppliers. This was about 8 or 9 years ago and to date I haven't seen any of them on the market. Who knows, maybe the small number of Ventures sold in the overall picture made the production numbers non profitable.
  6. Yes it is leaded, in my post above I made a warning point about use with converters. Some Harleys have converters in the exhaust pipes. I don't know if it is just the California models but I bought a set off ebay that were take offs from the dealership. If you looked in the pipe you could see the converter.
  7. If nothing is close by try the small local airports. The closest regular gas station that sells non ethanol is 60 miles one way. It would cost me 5-6 gals to get there and back. I can buy low lead 100 octane non-ethanol aviation gas 3 miles from the house for $4.89 a gallon. I usually only buy some when winter is really in full swing and fill the bike, riding mower, generator and that type of stuff with a good dose of stabil/seafoam. Sure makes waking them up from the long nap a lot easier. FYI, I guess I should mention don't use the avi gas in anything with a catalytic converter. And fwtw my Honda Ridgeline will get 3-4 mpg better every time I use pure gasoline.
  8. I am just starting out and the tips of my fingers feel like hamburger. Would it be less painful if I just went out to my bench grinder and take them down to the bone? I have been using most of the free sites and after I get a few more of the basics down I may even pop for a few lessons.
  9. Filled up yesterday for $2.89 here in Dallas.
  10. I seem to remember a thread that said that you were done with the guitar upgrades.... I just did some horse trading for a Taylor 314CE. Now all I have to do is learn to play it
  11. Thanks Guys, I received this email today from Watson's (the boy in the wheelchair) mother and it makes it all worth while... "Watson had the best time going fast last Saturday. He has been telling all his friends and showing them the proof with the pictures you printed for him. Thank you for allowing him a dream come true opportunity! He had a blast. You have blessed his life! You can send other photos to kelly@****** or watson@***** Thanks again for a GREAT day!!! Kelly
  12. Rusty Wallace Racing Experience came to Texas Motor Speedway this past weekend and held a 2 day event where all of the profits were donated to the cause. I also donated my time for the event and pretty much shot photos non stop for 13 hours each day. Long days but well worth the effort. Texas Motor Speedway also stepped up to the plate for this also. It rained late Friday night and the track was wet Saturday morning. Someone made a call and the lights were turned on so we keep going until 9 o'clock that night. I don't know what the grand total was for the event but my photo event trailer had a total of $8200.00 that was taken in for the foundation. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RW1of1-11_zps2e80565d.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RW1of1-10_zps3b769b44.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RW1of1-3_zpsc1a2c77b.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RW31of1-6_zps935511d9.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RW31of1-9_zps3dfcdf04.jpg
  13. We really do need photos!!!!
  14. If you want some options at a pretty good price for some very good LEd bulbs check out this link. Different beam widths 30 and 90 degress and lumens up to 900. As mentioned the Northern Tools are only 375 Lumens so just think about 3X's the light! $66 dollars each for the high end ones. All top quality LEDs and no Chinese materials. They are on the Xmas list. I have used some of their stuff in my Motor Coach to help with the house battery consumption. I will say they are good people to deal with and will answer any questions. http://store.marinebeam.com/41sebereledb.html
  15. I have done the Team Texas & Rusty Wallace Driving School's a couple of times. I also shoot the photos for the Rusty Wallace events at Texas Motor Speedway and have another Rusty Wallace event coming up in a week or so. You "Will" have a great time and want to do it again. Enjoy your minute of Nascar time. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/RWdriver-1.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Billy.jpg
  16. Thanks Craig, Most of the cars had "Do Not Touch" signs on them. His said "Touch But Don't Look" Bill
  17. Not to hijack the thread but my horns saved my butt today.
  18. I shoot this event every month weather permitting. Mostly Cars but sometimes a few good bikes. These are a few of the ones I thought everyone would like. Nice Beemer Hack & A Moto Guzzi. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/MG-.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/DriveIn-.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/BMW--3.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/GW-.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/BMW--5.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/VWbus-.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/MG--3.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/56-.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Caddy--3.jpg
  19. It was really 2 groups meeting. The location was "Uncertain Texas" Rally Name I think was United Sidecar Association and the Texas Ural Riders Diversion of the Soviet Steeds (the T.U.R.D.'s)
  20. The wife and I went on a camping trip to Lake Caddo last month. We happened to stumble on an annual Hack rendezvous. Here are a few pics that I snapped. http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--2.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--8.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--7.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--6.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--4.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--3.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack--5.jpg http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/Hack-.jpg
  21. As a FYI, I just changed a set of the Goodrich TA's off my wife's car. 65,000 mile warranty and they were gone at 30,000. The guy at the service department said he has never seen a set last. The Michelin tires I have on my Truck are a little noisy but have 56000 on them and will go another 15000 or so.
  22. Add the Bosch 3323 to the list. It is a longer version and offers more filter media than the 3300. As of 1999 Purolator has made the following brands. Bosch, Motorcraft, PowerFlo, ProLine, Purolator Premium Plus, Purolator Pure One, Quaker State
  23. Goose, I own a Honda Ridgline that is the same 4WD system as the CRV. Mine has the V6 and real world mileage is 16-18 around town and 20-21 on the road. It work very well when we get the occasional snow & ice here in the metroplex. Rides more like a car than a truck and even has a trunk that you will use more than you think.
  24. getting ready to leave for a tupperware party to pick up a few new Goldwing parts. Eck tells us on the way home from the party he will...
  25. Shot this while in Idaho Falls Colorado... I guess you should see them when they are not having fun riding http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/CNONT/HDSmile.jpg There are some more bike shots on my photo link if you want to take a look in Colorado 2012
