  1. Really hate to hear of the misfortune Don. I certainly will be remembering you and yours in our prayers. Sometimes things like that happen to the best of us all, and I do believe you are one of the best. I also believe in the Lord taking care of things. So just hang in there my friend. James
  2. Yama, It was a shame you could not get your oil changed. I agree that the shop should have offered more help. Maybe at least sold you the oil and let use some tools or something. But there again, as you said everyone is not able to just lay down there on the ground and do the job. Some of the people here are older folks and some with disabilitys. That is a good idea to print some of the fine folks addresses and phone numbers for help on a trip. HEY, IF YOUR EVER AROUND MY PATCH OF THE WOODS, JUST DROP IN WITH A PHONE CALL. IF I AM ABLE AT ALL, I WILL DROP EVERYTHING AND OPEN MY GARAGE AND TURN ON THE HEAT OR AIR AND CHANGE YOUR OIL. PROBABLY EVEN FEED YOU AND YOURS BEFORE YOU LEAVE.
  3. I only ran the Bridgestones (new bike 2007) long enough to tell they where not wearing and or handling very well. I went with the Avon Venoms and would very highly recommend the Avons. The bike handled like a differant machine....... It really did ..... Very quiet and very good on wet road. Avon Venom all the way. James
  4. I believe the good Lord was watching over this man, and the others also. Looks like a terrible head on collision.
  5. What these fellers said (MasterGuns & frogmaster). Thay ought to know for sure, exsperts I would say. And thanks to the both of you all for what you have done for this country..... I love the United States Of America... James Darrell Fultz
  6. Yep,what Easy said.................. I saw one of those on the pickers show too. Looks like your in for some work.
  7. This is a post that I put up after installing my Roadhouse pipes, still love them and would reccomend them highly. Sounds like a Corvett on steroids somebody said. Dont forget about the AIS sytem plug and you might want to put K&N air filters in and then have carbs synced. Sounds like alot but really nothing to it.There is plenty of help here. Ride on and make some rumble noise. I get 44 - 45 mpg now. Got 38 before pipe and filters and carb sync ( carb sync was only $20.00 at dealler, so don't let someone cheat you). "Got the pipes on everyone, and love the sound(Roadhouse Pipes - slash cut). Loud enough but not to loud. Very good rumble. Installation OK, just did not care for the wood block and hammer persuasion I had to use. But still worked out good. Have to kinda wiggle them as you go and take a wood block and drive them on a little ways at a time (wood block against the muffler hanger ). Then bolt up and tighten clamp. I also used some high heat silicone on pipe /muffler connection. I then unplugged the AIS and installed K&N filters. Purrs like a lion. I like the Roadhouse, good chrome to the end of slash cut pipes. I did not go with Bubs because I did not like the polished aluminum ends, I like the slash cut. Fuzzy
  8. Nice ride. Ya, me too, nicest side car set up ever seed.....I like that blue too. Purrrrrrdyyy,,,,,:cool10:
  9. Ya, me too ... Yet so dog gone stupid. And shame on the rest of them that do not have a way of shuting it off. Shame on our leaders for allowing this to happen. They should not be allowed to drill with out ways of shutting down. I heard just the other day, that the other major oil companys do not have adequate ways of rendering this. I also saw where some old country gentelman invented a way of cleaning some of the stuff from a top the water with a drag he had made from PC pipe and some kinda cloth material. They where putting it in to mass production ASAP.
  10. Very very good video. I loved that one. Exspecially the shots underneath the bike, how neat.... THANKS TO ALL.....
  11. I would like to invite you all to visit through Morehead, Ky on Old US 60, and take a ride around the Cave Run Lake. It is a beautiful relaxing ride down ST RT 801 and ST RT 519 and ST RT 1274. Look up my info., and give me call. I would be glad to meet up and bring a good friend of mine and ride along with you around the lake if possible. I work Mon. through Fri.7:00 AM to 3:30 PM during that part of the year. My good friend and I are also planing a trip to possibly your neck of the woods. You have any suggestions for us if we end up in Iowa. Have a good trip and be safe.
  12. Thanks, neat. I did the video and sent to several friends. What a neat laugh.
  13. I am so thankful that most everyone here has had this same thought, Thank You.. My very bestest friend rides a Harley Road King and we sometimes choke a little at one another, and we do not even do that openley, so that we do not offend someone else. But as most everyone has said, there is a very fine line there. I will not cross that, and I have never said anything bad about another persons bike here, and I will refrain. We who have rode very much in this old world have met these people with thier bad attitudes and they are riding all makes and models. So glad I do not consider myself one of them. I also understand how easy it is to get so aggravated and say something out of the way. But we all do need to be very careful. We have such a great bunch of people here.... James
  14. Another member helped out. So kind. Thanks SkyDoc for showing the world what the word generious, kind, or just being a good human being is what it,s all about. I really enjoyed reading and following this thread, made my day. James

  19. Avon Venoms on my bike.Very good traction and handle well in any weather. Not enough miles to give opinion on wear life. But I hear that they are the best.
  20. I wish I could find a helmet that did not cost an arm and a leg and could keep me warm without the aggrivating fogging up. Glad you like it and thanks for the information. I do wish you would include some pictures though. James

  25. They are a nice piece of electronics to have Ronald. I purchased the Garmin 750 at Wally Worlrd for $ 179.00 on line, shipped to store, no shipping charge. It is brand new, not refurbished. I like it a lot so far. PROS; 1. I can see it, large letters and map on screen. 2. It has a nice mp3 player, that I can hear up to 40 mph. (I have Road house pipes, loud but not to loud) 3. It has a ear phone jack. 4. The mount that comes with it works perfect, just stick it to the chrome speedadometer cover, works perfect there. 5. Well worth the money. 6. Very good mount comes with it. 7. Power cord and computer hook up comes with it. 8. Easy to figure out. Cons; 1. Not loud enough to hear above 40 mph. (I have Road house pipes, loud but not to loud) 2. Not water proof, but not $ 500.00 - $ 700.00 either. 3. After charging battery, it last about three hours. (Need cig. plug on bike for power.) 4. You have to go to the webb to retrieve the owners manual.
