  1. You know the rules....post pictures when you get them.
  2. You're in your car and wish you were on you bike when....... your driver or navigator is gassy:moon:
  3. Gentlemen- Knitting, reading, etc on the motorcycle is called "multi-tasking". Women do it very well, something men struggle with and don't understand. Talking, talking, talking is probably the only time she can get you to listen to her without having to see you make faces, roll your eye or hear you sigh. :):):):):):):):):)
  4. Steve we also could have auctioned off your ponytail in Susanville, but you wouldn't do it. Instead you moved back East and cut it off for free for the Federal Government.
  5. Well, I must have missed some interesting stuff. In the 3 years I've been on this site, I have never seen anything I would consider over a PG rating. Maybe I'm not looking in the right places or maybe I'm just a "naughty" girl. I looked up the the meaning of a PG rating for the movies so I could get a better perspective of what we are talking about here. It had this line in the description: "There may be some profanity and some depictions of violence or brief nudity." So bring on the brief nudity.....opps, did I really type that out loud? Oh well, I guess I am a naughty girl.
  6. Johanne, Thanks for the update on your Dad. He will be in our thoughts and prayers. Keep us posted.
  7. Glad to hear he's ok. Thanks for the report.
  8. That looks nice. She does nice work. I think she is the lady that did Lone Eagle's entire bike and Rich99's front fender.
  9. Me: "Momma" of the Dirty Ducks MC Tom: "Ol' Big Chief Tom" of the sons of Santa My 10 year old daughter: Lil' ***** of the Gas Guzzlers (Can't use her name on here, but it's also what some may call a female dog)
  10. No Dennis, it's not directed at you. I understand that you attempted to save your tooth. To me that is a good thing. Implants are very successful and yes you do not have to "drill" on other teeth to replace it like you do for a fixed bridge. They are a little more expensive and take more healing time, therefore it takes longer to get the finished product. I personally would get an implant if I lost a tooth. The reason for that is because I've never had a cavity. And I don't want "virgin" teeth cut for the bridge. Now if the two teeth that were going to hold the bridge already had crowns or very large fillings I would have a harder time deciding. Cost would most likely be the deciding factor then. Good luck with your future dental visits.
  11. I'm sorry to hear some of you had some bad experiences and have a low opinion of dentistry. This is one subject I could get on my soapbox a really get mad. I would have a response for most negative responses that are based on my 25 yrs of experience and not your layman irrational thoughts. So I'm just going to leave this subject alone. One thing to think about- If you have your teeth extracted and have them replaced with dentures instead of trying to save them, are you having faith that a dentist can make you teeth better than the ones your "maker", God or whoever you believe in, made you?
  12. Nice pictures!! But some of those roads looked pretty hard to navigate on. It looks like you two had a nice vacation also. .
  13. Dennis- Sorry to hear about your bad experience. Did you find out if the injections were the cause? Too bad you lost a tooth. I've been a dental assistant for 25 years and never heard of that happening before. Get well soon. Margaret- I'm also sorry you had to loose a tooth also. In the long run loosing a tooth is more expensive than having the root canal done.
  14. Check out this thread: http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=19749 There are a couple pictures of what others have done.
  15. Brian- Here are a couple of websites that may help with some of your questions for California and Nevada. http://www.dot.ca.gov/ http://www.nevadadot.com/traveler/
  16. Buddy you haven't lost your antenna yet but I sometimes wonder if you've lost your mind.
  17. Dknight, my daughter and I were at Disneyland. We weren't on any rides, just eating lunch. It was too bad and we never felt any of the aftershocks. Disneyland did have to shut down all of there rides for a couple of hours to inspected and reboot everything. I thought they did it fast. I don't think most cities could do as well. After everything was up and running again it was like nothing ever happened.
  18. I could kick myself for not leaving our room number on the card. I left the card but wasn't sure if it was your bike. I didn't feel comfortable just leaving my room number for anyone. I didn't find out until later from Tom that it was yours. We left Vegas the next morning for Anaheim and today we're in Bishop, Ca. Tomorrow we'll be home. What is interesting is you went to see Dark Knight and Tom's screen name DkKnight=dark knight. If I would have left our room number then you could have seen both dark knights. Hopefully with two venturerider cards on that blue venture he'll look us up.
  19. Dkknight, daughter and I were in Las Vegas this weekend. Toby Keith gave the SRNCO conference 300 tickets to his concert there Satuarday night (loved the concert). We were staying at the South Point Hotel and Casino. First I saw a blue and black Venture and put a VentureRider card on it as I was leaving to go shopping. When I came back, lo and behold, there sat another Venture. But this one had a VentureRider sticker on it. I left a card and said hello and who are you. There was a name plate with their names and said Minnesota. I went to the room and told Tom about the MRSV. He said he thought it was "Kantornado". We went and had dinner. After we ate (had to eat like all VentureRiders food is important) we looked for Ron. We didn't find him. I was sad to miss the chance to meet him...maybe next time and we'll call first. The last Venture I saw was as we were leaving the hotel to head for Disneyland for the next leg of our trip. He pulled into the parking garage and I tried to talk to him but he seemed like he was in a hurry (and probably thought I was crazy). He worked at the bowling alley at the hotel/casino. I wonder if I'll see any Ventures here in CA.?
  20. Randy, I'm glad to hear you are happy with your deal. I have know way of knowing if it's a good deal or not, but if you're happy that is all that matters. I hear stories about State Farm Insurance Co and they seem to be pretty fair. I had someone rear end me at a stop light and knock me into a truck hitch in front of me a couple of months ago. I had the repair work done. I wasn't 100% satisfied with the work so I took it back to the body shop. My complaint wouldn't be anything anyone else would notice, but I could. I was told most insurance companies won't pay for original parts but only after market parts. So the issues I had with my car had to do with trying to get those after market parts to fit. The guy at the body shop told me that State Farm and only one other insurance company that he knew of paid for original parts. Kind of wish I had State Farm for my car.
  21. Nice pictures. My dream vacation would be to make it to Australia. Maybe one day it will come true.
  22. I nod off once in awhile. I also do the helmet bump with DKKnight when I do. I don't go into a deep sleep. I just doze so I don't think I'll fall off. Any ways, if there was a chance of me falling off it would be while turning a corner. Slowing down and down shifting always wakes me, both are done before you turn. So I guess I'm safe.
  23. Hey Jack- Who wants a burger at 8:15 in the morning anyways? I don't even think In & Out is open that early. At least you could get a coffee at Burger King. But y'all do what you want, I'll hopefully see you when you get to Carson.
  24. Hey Jack - I haven't seen that ethanol junk here in Nevada. And the price of Reg. gas is less than $4.15 here. I paid $4.03 today (like that is such a great deal..Ha ha).
