    They are not Yamaha accessories. Even the ones that Yamaha sell are made by J&M. J&M, Edsets, several other brands will be just fine. I've used this place a lot. Very good people and they sell J&M cheaper than J&M does direct. http://www.sierra-mc.com I personally use Edsets. Like them a lot but if all you want is communications, a cheaper J&M set will do just fine. http://www.edsets.com

    OK folks. After taking a quick look at my schedule for 2013, I'm thinking about having my maintenance day on the weekend of June 8th. That is well after Marcarl's meet and the week before father's day. Am I missing anything?

    Folks, I can assure you that every thread on this forum is read and watched by myself and the other moderators. The thread in question has been monitored for a while now. It has been discussed and is very close to being deleted. As for a button to report posts, we already have one. Right above the country flags and etc. is a white triangle with a red border. Hover your mouse cursor over it and you'll see that it says "report post".

    I disagree with all of you. 4" is the diameter of the woofer. The holes will be slightly more. Here is an example. This is of a Pioneer but it is the standard. I have used these same Pioneer speakers as well as the Polks and they all had the same measurements in regards to the stud locations for mounting. They also matched the stock Clarion speakers.

    I personally feel that the dangers of handling mercury have been greatly exaggerated. Yes, getting mercury in your system is not good. It is 100% correct that it should not be used in paint for baby cribs, toys, etc. Never should be used in any way where it could be ingested. If handled properly though, there is very little risk to it. There are a couple ways that you can absorb it into your body. One is through ingestion and the other is through breathing the vapors. At relative low temperatures, mercury will put off vapors that can be inhaled. I'm not talking temps in the hundreds either. On a typical very hot summer day, it can emit vapor that can be inhaled. Otherwise, it can be handled quite safely. As most of you did, we played with it when we were kids. I've seen it dropped and scatter all over the floor many times. I also worked in a chlorine plant in Muscle Shoals, AL where mercury was used to manufacture chlorine gas. The main think we watched there was that any mercury spills were washed into trenches where it was cover with water until it to be collected and disposed of properly.

    Every instance I have ever seen of them being on the wrong side, they were actually installed incorrectly. You can screw the masts off the bases and swap sides with them. Like Bob said, if they are on the wrong side, they are very likely causing damage to your CB. As the CB comes installed from the factory, the cable for the CB is not long enough to reach and plug into the CB if the entire assembly is actually mounted on the wrong side. It is very likely indeed mounted on the wrong side and needs to be checked and then swapped.

    Motion Pro stopped using mercury in their sticks a good while back. They make a non-mercury replacement fluid for the units but I'm not sure it you can use it in a tool that previously used mercury.     Bob, I think you are thinking about something else. The Morgan Carbtune uses no mercury, only stainless steel rods.

    No power difference from 1999 til present. The older Royal Stars did have less HP. Yes, they mount exactly the same.

    No difference at all expect for the colors. Even as far back as the introduction in 1999. They changed the antenna design after the first year and there have been two or three different seats and that's it.

    Hate to hear this kind of news. Larry is simply a fantastic guy, a real class act. Those who know him know that he will do anything for anybody. We pray that he will be OK.

    I bet your wife HATES riding in that homemade trailer. You should let her ride on the bike behind you. I think she would be much more comfortable.

    The problem is the minimum orders. I have to order at least 250 decals and 300 patches. I can't afford to pay out of pocket and sit on a lot of extras for a long time. I like keeping a few in stock though. That being said, I would like to see interest for about 100 of the decals and at least 75 patches.

    Trader is correct. The 2007 model was the only one affected and it had to do with the head bolts not being tightened properly. You should verify if it has been taken in for the recall. Otherwise, there is not much that is too bad. Check the rear shock and try to determine if there are any leaks. That is a known problem for most all years. Some complain of a loud gearbox whine. All have some whine due to the design of the straight cut gears but some have a whine that some find intolerable. Otherwise, they are pretty much bullet proof bikes.

    Just a quick clarification here folks. Condor was selling, may still have some, custom made heavy duty fork braces. From all reports, they are a very good product. They are NOT Superbraces though. Superbrace is a brand name and is copyrighted. Please know that Condor is NOT selling the Superbrace brand fork brace.

    Can you link to some of those posts about people draining the oil and re-filling because to be honest, I've never heard of anybody doing that. There are many instances of the shocks going bad (leaking oil) but still holding air. They are certainly a separate chamber. It is impossible to drain and replace the oil through the air valve. I don't remember those posts of anybody doing that.

    Front springs need to be changed. Most people replace them with Progressive Springs.
