    LOL....it is SURE to. It started political I guess. I do think it's important that everybody vote but I doubt it will be long until it has to be deleted. Heck...maybe I should have deleted it immediately and certainly shouldn't have posted to it.

    Folks, I received an email from a new member. Username roger podoll has not posted here yet. Here is the message that he sent to me. I hope you will all keep him and his boys in your prayers. haven't had much time to check your site.My wife of 36 years was killed on oct. 27. head on collision with camper.She was on her 250 helix an I was on 650KLR.Do need prayers at this time.Have a13 an 15 year old boys at home yet.very hard on them.

    OK folks, I have started rebuilding our 2013 VentureRider Rally countdown page. I've added the information that I have at this time. Please take a look and post any additional information that you might have.     Very simple. Just remove the 4 screws in the bottom of the trunk. When you move it back about an inch, you will see that there are 4 matching holes already there that line up. Now mine had nuts welded on the back of those 4 additional holes and I just reinserted and tightened the screws. I've read some reports that the holes did not have the nuts so I think those folks had to use longer screws and put nuts and lock washers on the bottom side. Either way, the holes should be there already.

    I think everything is OK. After further discussion, it appears that the member in question got a message that a classified ad was about to expire and mistook it for a notice that his membership was about to expire.

    Folks, just wanted to step in here for just a moment. It is obvious that there are strong feelings on both sides of the issue and more so about the Star organization in general. It's OK to disagree but please don't let this become deteriorate into name calling and etc. That will get this thread killed.

    I know that it is normal but am not 100% sure WHY. I wonder if it has something to do with the firing sequence of this engine. Maybe something to do with how much fuel/air mixture is actually pulled into that cylinder based upon the timing? I know that these engines aren't completely balanced in that manner. I'm grasping here because I really don't know but am hoping that my response will trigger the thoughts of somebody who DOES know.

    I can't get it to happen. I went to that thread with Google Chrome and got no warnings. I then clicked on every link posted and still got no warnings. I would try to correct the problem if I could get it to happen.

    No, you would not lose the 6 months. It would automatically add a year to the expiration date.

    You can also go to the UserCP. Scroll down to where it says "Paid Subscriptions" in the left menu. Click on that and it will show your start date and the expiration date.

    Folks, I got a message from a member here telling me that his subscription is about to expire. That concerns me because his membership is good through April of next year and the automated reminders here do NOT go out until a few days before your memberships expire. Has anybody else here gotten such an email way ahead of your expiration date? If so, please let me know. It causes me to wonder if somebody is attempting to scam our members.

    I'm hiring security this year to deal with Mini. At least I'm TRYING to....some seem to not want the job.     OK folks. I need to rebuild the event countdown page for 2013. This is mainly for our regular events, not the smaller meet and eats. Take a look at the VR Rallies page and let me know the dates for your regular events and any that need to be added. I'm not real strict on what is included but the page is a bit tricky to build and if possible, don't want to be adding little dinner rides and etc. all the time.

    I agree and what am I missing here. You have a $175.00 locking mount secured to the ball mount with a big wing nut. Just loosen the wing nut and take the whole thing? I don't get it.

    They are not Yamaha accessories. Even the ones that Yamaha sell are made by J&M. J&M, Edsets, several other brands will be just fine. I've used this place a lot. Very good people and they sell J&M cheaper than J&M does direct. http://www.sierra-mc.com I personally use Edsets. Like them a lot but if all you want is communications, a cheaper J&M set will do just fine. http://www.edsets.com

    OK folks. After taking a quick look at my schedule for 2013, I'm thinking about having my maintenance day on the weekend of June 8th. That is well after Marcarl's meet and the week before father's day. Am I missing anything?
