  1. I think its the 85's ability to travel at warp speed affects the plastics at a different speed than the metal parts. Thats also why the fairings start to rattle after a while even when we tightnen them up from time to time. They do call it warp speed for a reason,,,,it warps the plastic parts.... If youre needing any parts for your 85 let me know, i may have it. i think i have to downsize my stash a bit. Brian

  4. Sure...i would love to help you guys out...but a couple of things...mabbe it was an accident mine got thru, and our shipping costs from Canada can get pretty high. Maybe give it another wait and see, and then if ya still want to we can see if shipping here will work brian
  5. I ordered one mid December and got it before Christmas, so i guess its a U.S. issue. Usually its Canada Post thats slower than turtle speed
  6. I go to Snapfiles.com when I want to download something that is freeware. They always insist that the free stuff is free and doesnt have any malware or adware attached to it. They do have some ads for software on the top third of the page but its a pretty extensive list of software, and they rate it all too. http://www.snapfiles.com/freeware/ Brian

  10. Even while riding the bicycle or going for a walk might be a good time for a silent dog whistle to get the dogs barking for reasons other than a motorcycle going by....let them realize that the motorcycle isnt the issue the dogs are.......... Brian
  11. YOure right, it could never ever be dear sweet Nina's fault,.......Therefore its gotta be yours!!!! Brian
  12. Same crap here, we have had an early, cold, and way, way more snow than a normal year. But from what Ive been reading we are experiencing a LA Nina year, (opposite of El nino) and that the weather has been typical of that type of year. http://www.elnino.noaa.gov/lanina_new_faq.html Brian
  13. AH! childs play, we drive on that stuff for at least a month or 2 every year...lol Of course we do get regular practice...... Brian
  14. I wouldnt let him win by lowering myself to his level. Getting louder exhaust would just escalate the situation, I would just take the sign and leave it in my garage. With all the push back lately on loud exhaust in some communities, i think you may just make the situation more tense by getting a louder exhaust. Of course IF they have a barking dog, you may want to glue an overlay over that sign to alert the neighbours to the barking dogs Brian
  15. I am not a consellor either, but after being divorced twice a couple times there are a couple of things that I have always tried to do, and it was tough at times. One was Never Ever speak badly of their mother in front of the kids, they are half their mother and they still love her no matter what is said or done from your side of the picture, speaking badly of her stresses the kids and puts them into the middle of a battle and they feel powerless about it. Try to take the high road, and its is VERY difficult, but it will pay off in time as the kids will respect you more later. Always tell the truth to the kids and be upfront with them, but being tactful here and knowing your timing is good. Be supportive of them and repeat to them constantly that you are there for them whenever they need you and for them to call anytime. But kids will be kids and probably wont call very you often, just remember that its up to you as a parent to call them often and spend time with them whenever you have time, to show that they are important to you. Just remember that things take time to work out properly, and just make it your job one to be the best dad you can be, given the circumstances. Brian

  19. I would get the engine running and spray wd40 on the area and see if the speed increases, if it does, you have a leak, if it doesnt, you dont. If its not leaking at least you know you dont have to deal with it immediately, it can buy you some time. Brian
  20. One of the guys I ride with has one of these,it sounds good, and i like all the options that the sound system can use to play the music from. (sd card, usb stick, cd, ipod connector, and radio). Its a real nicely finished fairing and sound system compared to some ive seen. 21. While wandering thru websites looking stuff today I stumbled on a nice looking RSTD with some road rash on it. Its a write off from insurance but if someone could buy it cheap enough it might be worth while. I know the side bag and the tank damage is pricey to buy new, but a guy might be able to find used. Does anyone know If this one of our members old machines? http://www.crankyape.com/default.asp?pg=DispSingleItem&ItemNumber=24503 Brian
  22. put the airbox on and close it up, these things run like crap with out them. Check in the forums area under first Generations and you can find a manual to download in there. I would hook up the hoses just in case one is a vacuum source. Brian
