  2. Well i do hafta say the best winter olympics ever staged have both been in North America, the 2002 in Salt Lake were marvelous, and now Vancouver. I think North America does the best job at promoting and covering the olympics probably because of the resources available and enthusiasm of our citizens and volunteers. Good job everyone!!!! Brian
  3. Rick, I had no idea your rates in BC were so high, I was complaining about mine a while back.....I will shut up now..... Brian
  4. my condolences............:rotf: Brian
  5. Because Quebec wants the bread buttered on both sides, they want to take our federal money , but then wants to separate and pretend to be its own country.... Brian

  8. Welcome to the group! Glad youre here. I have the shop manuals for my 85 Venture if that would help you out, but I dont know what those vacuum specs might be. I am sure somone here will be by with the specs, but if you need to borrow the manuals for something, just send me a message, and we can see about getting them to you. Brian
  9. You all are cruel and inhumane.... Brian
  10. This is Murray, one of the guys I ride with in the local chapter of the Canadian Motorcycle Cruisers. Its pretty obvious to me that he has a BAD case of cabin fever. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1_iLG7FcgbY]YouTube- Rocker Burnout[/ame] Brian
  11. This summer you should make it out to Kruisn the Kootenays then!!! Brian:banana:
  12. Swifty, I am betting when you were a kid you were the guy that enjoyed poking the stick in the eye of the big dog in the neighbourhood.:rotfl: It was a great game on both sides of the ice, and with all that excitement its too bad that there has to be a winner and loser. I did enjoy this Olympics a lot and hope everyone else did too! Come on up and visit sometime, now that you know us Canadians better!!! brian
  13. Thats ok Yammer, mabbe think of it as basketball on skates and ice... with a lot more violence.....lol!:stirthepot: Brian
  14. Yammer, you make me laugh....:rotfl: I gotta go drink some beer and get ready for the game now..... Brian
  15. Hmmm, Yammer do I hear a friendly wager on the outcome between the American and Canadian Hockey Gold medal Hockey Game tomorrow? It seems to me we already have more gold medals in the Olympics than the US, but the hockey Gold would be the sweetest! (even tho I am not a hockey fan!) The way the US is playing right now, they will be very hard to beat, it should be a great game to watch. Brian How about the loser makes a donation to to the St. Judes Hospital?
  16. If Barend has MK1 he will have an issue as there wasnt a valve up at the steering head until 86 , i think. When we put the new ss lines on my 85 there was no bleeder valve up at the head, but there sure is now! It makes life a lot easier to get the crud out when you let the bubbles out of the top end. Brian
  17. theres one online here in the forums area got to the first Gen tech section, you can download it to your computer. Brian
  18. After Rocket rebuilt my 85 last year, I could smell coolant for a couple of days and like the guys here said I took it out a rode it hard and got everything all heated up and burnt off. I really think it msut have been some spilled coolant on the engine that never really fully got burned off until after a real good run. I looked for my leak for a few days as well and I was glad for these guys advice. Brian
  19. I think they are still available as new. I ordered and got one last fall for my 85 from Flatout motorcycles.. Might be partshark by now i think they are changing names. Just go into the fiche section and find your bike and check it out. I think it was around 50 bucks. Brian http://www.flatoutpowersports.com/fiche_section_detail.asp look under electrical2 number 8 . i was low on the price, its about 79 bucks

  23. This is a great vid of Tom Brokaw explaining Canada and Canadians to Americans. There may be some things that will surprise some of our US friends. [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tYoTJItSPt0]YouTube- Tom Brokaw Explains Canada To Americans[/ame] Brian
  24. I would think 2nd gear would be gone by now if it hasnt been fixed. It doenst hurt the bike, and a lot of ppl ride without 2nd gear but it is something to check on. Check acceleration under wide open throttle if it pops out youre living on borrowed time. and the frame on 83's cracked down where the center stand is attached Brian
  25. Darn! I really like the look of those inserts, but thanks everyone, youve probably saved me a couple of hundred bucks.... Brian
