  5. They're gone again,,, off to Cobourg this time to see some family that Rod says he has. Maybe next time they come this way, they could give a days notice,,,, good time to Meet & Greet. Pretty nice couple, enjoyed spending time with Rod, (doctors) and with Paul. Ride well you two.

  11. I think you can take them apart to fix them. I've never had to do it, but if mine acted like yours I would. They can also be replaced with an aftermarket pump,,, you don't have to buy Yamaha for that. A lot cheaper.

  17. He hasn't spoken yet... so I have no idea what's on line so to speak. He was planning a stop here though, so we'll have to see what transpires. I'm all tied up Tuesday eve, but the rest of the week can be arranged.

  19. You might also have a diaphragm problem. Squidley is right this time,(well he's right a lot of the times) it needs a complete going over,,,, that 84 should purr like a humming bird.

  21. You mean that I missed to opportunity to get rid of mine now? Well they are only going to cost more the longer I hold on to them, so next time you can expect to pay double!!!
  22. Obviously you haven't met Shannon yet,,,, she nothing like Mom or Dad,,,,,I was going to say more,,,, but will not let the cat out of the bag,,,,,, just yet.
  23. If it's clutch fluid then it will taste sweet, wash off with water and your clutch reservoir will be loosing fluid. If it's oil, then that's a different story. You'll need to clean real well all around and under both covers, then let it run on the center stand for about 1\2 hour, after that, lay down under the bike and do a slow systematic check, starting on the lowest part and slowly working up. Let the bike cool and use your finger, a dab at a time to find the source.
  24. My biggest concern would be too much of a drop in oil pressure, especially at low RPMs. Maybe it has lots of capacity,,, I wouldn't know, maybe would be a good thing to hook up a pressure gauge to find out. If you do, be prepared to see low pressure anyways.
  25. It's always tough to loose a family member, our sympathies to them all. Maybe just a moment of inattention, but when we get called, we must go. Hopefully we'll all meet again on the other side of the 'river'.
