  1. Your grip and electrics are separate, you'll just have a little fun getting the grip off. Some guys have done it by blowing air into it to loosen the glue. Either that or cut it off and put on a new set.
  2. Not so sure about that,,, although I did consider it. Now it on Annie's side and she can now show QuickStep what it was she meant, when she said,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  3. Got your 'ride' already, hope it's not too fancy.
  4. Ya and then what would you do all day,,,, if you weren't looking for something that was just there the last time you seened it.
  5. Wow, you are getting close,,,, see you around noon on Friday.
  6. We expect to see her and Alan in Toronto Friday at noon. So I guess they might have some time to catch up to themselves.
  7. Carl like's to poke fun when he can,,,, and I thought this was fun!!!!!
  8. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
  9. If you're coming across Europe you might get delayed a little. Seems to be lots of ash in the sky,,,, from that Iceland place.
  10. And bring a sledge hammer,,,,, just in-case those rotten bolts won't come off. The others who might have the same problems will be eternally grateful.
  11. You are so close from doing it all,,, only maybe another 1\2 hour to put new sliders in and check to make sure you have all the proper washers in place. You will also be able to clean out all the old oil and any filings that may have shown up, due to lack of oil. JMO Carl
  12. Take it back and give that there tire a twist on the rim,,,,, you'll be surprised!!! Same time you can look for your spacer.
  13. Yep,,, keep the collar at home when you bring the tire in. Wizard765 lost his as well this spring when the tire got changed,,, but we found it under the tire changer thingie. You should not be bringing any loose parts to them for them to lose. Maybe take that tire back and have them give it turn on the rim,,,, often changes the balance.
  14. Oh he will heal alright,,, with maybe some time to think about the next lesson he wants to learn,,,,, maybe he'll take some theory before practical,,,, now the bike will always be a dumped bike ooooooooo that's an ouch!!!!! And you can tell I said so!!!!!!
  15. Are you looking for a full blown cassette deck, or one of those portable types?
  16. Who said that they weren't?? Oh ya, he's been on a die ate.
  17. If you didn't open the rad to take a look see, then you have wait for the engine to cool so that it can suck any coolant into the system, if there was an air-pocket. By now all the air would be gathered at the fill neck of the rad.
  18. Looks kind of BBQ'd to me, looks like too much heat from somewhere. Glad it's working better for ya.
  19. Happy Birthday Lil-Bit,,, hope you can enjoy many more
  20. 1983 to 1993 are 1st gens, 83 to 85 being Mark 1 and 86 to 93 being Mark 2. 99 to present are 2nd gens,,,, and they are more or less all the same. But they are slower even though there some that are blue,,, and blue is said to be the fastest, but not as fast as brown.
  21. Ya I know, we all knew that,,, but this is different. They are planning to be in S.Ontario from next Friday to Thursday morning June 2. Now we don't mind having them around,,,, at least that's what I'm supposed to say,,,,,, but some others may like to have a go at them for a day or so. So here's the proposition: Friday afternoon and evening they'll be in our care, and anyone else that shows up,,, it is the start of Marcarl's VentureIn. so we'll have supper somewhere and then BS the evening away. Saturday they is going to join in on the VentureIn, meet lots of new folks, forget all their names and be plum wore out,,, soooooo Sunday is a day of relaxing and catching up with the time,,,,, maybe. Being that they are 12 hours ahead of us, and that they have been flying for a day or so, jet lag may be an issue. ( and they ain't spring chickens anymore) Monday,,, maybe somebody would like to take them to see some sites,,, maybe Niagara Falls or maybe Toronto, or maybe Kitchener Waterloo,,,, who knows. Tuesday,, the same as Monday, only different,,,,,,, maybe different people and other sites. Wednesday a repeat of Monday and Tuesday, just don't get them bored with repeats. Thursday, they plan on heading for Don's to get maintained properly. The idea is that they would meet with more folks than just us,,, hey,, sleep overs are great as well maybe. Offer up some suggestions, let's make it interesting for them. This will need to be approved by the boss,, of course!!!
  22. You have my prayers for your pain and healing. I know you asked for Luck, but I think some prayer will work much better. Let me know what you need done for QSL and I'll get it done,,,, no sweat,,,, Annie will be here to mess me up.
  23. Annie you afraid of getting homesick?? seeing as there will be a little part of you where ever you go? Sure is nice though,,,, still got to find a spot for our mascot!!!
  24. The best time would be about 2 hours,,,, but knowing what happens at Don's it could\will be longer,,, probably more like 3 or 4 hours. You'll need to have new seals, new sliders and fork oil, and if you want to install progressive springs while you're at it, you'll need those as well. With a couple of guys who know what they are doing, it should be very well manageable. So now you'll need some volunteers as well maybe.
  25. Thanks for posting about Todd. Todd, wish you the best, and my sympathies for you. Carl
