You want to make sure you got good brakes if you got one!!!!

That was an enjoyable watch,,, old times for sure, and great for those living in Australia or the Great Britain,,,seeing as everything is done backwards. Some real good points made, a good refresher, also nice to see MCing from years ago. It has changed and upgraded a little, but not a whole lot. Thanks for posting.

Nice job, looks good. Now all you need is a license plate on that trailer so we can tell who you are......... and I would shorten the chains on that trailer. If for some reason that hitch came off of the ball, the hitch could dig into the road surface and send you for quite a loop. I keep mine as short as possible, so that if it should come detached, the chain will catch the hitch before it has a chance to hit the road or the rear tire. Enjoy the trip!

Just to think that today all that info is contained in a computer the size of a CELL Phone or less and the cell phone has just gone through an Eck-perience.

You should take your clutch apart to see if you need the steel pressure plates, if they look good, not burnt, then you will only need the fiber plates, about $50 and the springs, about $20-$30. -
Something very important here that all of you have seemed to have missed,,,,, I'm not trying to be an expert here, nor am I trying to make this a long read, after all, I type slow and am not all that knowledgeable when it comes to electric motors and such, I can get along with bike electrics though and mostly understand what id being talked about. But I did learn something a few years ago, that I thought might be helpful in this case, it's not a big thing, as things go, but important enough that a video was made of the transfer of information,,,,,, the tidbit IS: don't let the smoke out of the wires!!!

I can agree to you,,,,, the word accident I used as a generic term, guess I could have used collision, but that would limit the description.

Went to see Dorothea last evening, Sunday, she was in good spirits, still on pain killers, but looking good. She thought by now she would want to be going home, but I think her body is liking the holiday so she content to stay put for another day or two. Don't know how that sits with her husband, 5 kids, dog, cat and the reconstruction of their basement. Sure is good to have you folks around and amazing on the prayer chain created. People we have never met are praying for her,,, wow,,, and our Father is ever-present. -
Sometimes I'm more scared to drive than to ride,,,, seems I'm more alert when I ride, but I don't move over a lane without a shoulder check when I drive either anymore, so that's good. Buuuuuut I also noticed that I have missed seeing bikes and cars in my travels,,,, probably have for a long time, but now I'm just more sensitive to them. It happens and it happens, and it happens some more. Is the fix to get upset and so try to exonerate ourselves? Only make you upset! Will changing the punishment help,,,, oh I think so,,,,, but the best defense is still: ride as though you are invisible, do everything possible to be seen, but don't think for one split second that you have the right of way. That should be the basic, inbreed, totally you. With that in mind, don't be timid on the road, take your spot, ride your track, keep your speed, and keep to the speed limit. Case in point: you're coming up to an intersection, going straight through, person turning left coming towards you, you slow down and maybe even move to the right, even a little,,,,,,,,, what does that person think about you?????? ya, you're turning, because you slowed and moved over,,,, they seen it and they are going to take advantage. Scary business this riding, I think I'll go back to bed,,,,, it safer,,, oh wait, if it springs a leak I could drown.

Thanks Squid, did see that of course,,,,, because I looked, other wise some SA would tell me to go look for myself,,,,,, I was just hoping for a red one and used. My friend is 60 years old, out of work and has Parkinson. I really didn't want anyone feeling sorry for him, he doesn't for himself, and so give the shirt off their back so to speak,,,,, I will keep an eye on things though.

What???? you was gone,,, ok so welcome back
-
Nah you didn't hurt me none,,,,, I kind of knew this would draw a comment from you, and once you get over that, you'll come to realize that when we get together, either here on the forum, or at any get togethers we have, fun comes naturally, because we treat each and everyone of us as real people,,,,, you included,,,, and that means we try to help each other out. Let me explain. Does Don (our boss) need $12.00???? I don't really think so. Are the members here worried that you haven't paid up and have to pay more? Not likely, this site would be cheap a double the price. The real reason lies in yourself, and here again I want to be helpful. If you just come here for 'free' advice, you are most welcome to it, but if you invest a little, you'll become part of this group and soon you will find friendship, camaraderie, concern, passion,,,,, and you'll also find that you will be able to help others. In other words, it will compliment your life, and make it just a little more worth living. Now in answer to your problem, the easiest way I found to bleed the clutch is with a little sucker thingie, that you put on the bleeder screw. Your local parts supplier should have one, cost will be somewhere around $30 to $40. It has more uses than just sucking clutch lines, but I made this long enough. And they say I talk toooo much,,,,,,,HUH!!!!
