    Jonas??

Hi there Mini and Craig. The stupid volcano is not affecting my family since it is around 100 miles away from us, apart from it is keeping me from getting home from Norway %#"#$%$%#$"" And it might affect our trip to the USA the 11th. of June if it doesn´t shut down. Well they rarely last for long but there is no way to tell. I will take a boat over ti the States if needed - Nothing will keep me away Warmest regards from Norway at the moment, Jonas
  2. Ohhh,,,it has a four cylinder engine ? Gone sleeping ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ WastedZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ Thank you all my friends for standing by me and making this happen. Warmest regards from Iceland, Jonas
  3. Greetings fellow Venturers. As some of you might know me and Greta my wife are coming to USA the 11th. of June and had planned to use our USA based bike for the trip. My friend Lynn "pegscraper" has been working on some motor modifications on the bike but at the last minutes before getting the bike ready we had some unexpected technical issues that still remain to be resolved, but am sure that Lynn will figure out soon. But time is running out so I had a very difficult time figuring out what to do. So,,,,Did what we do here on the site when we have trouble = Screamed for help. Now Big Tom, The Great Old Canary (Freebird) and Cecdoo have been running around helping me buy a new bike and making all kind of plans to make this happen. Today the Old Canar,,,ehhh,, Freebird went to look at a bike for me that was for sale in Cleveland and to put the story short the bike has been bought and will be awaiting mine and Greta´s arrival at Craigs (cecdoos) home in East PA at our arrival. Freebird is going to pick up the bike and take it to his home in Oberlin. Big Tom has arranged pioneer Motorsports to bring new White Wall tires for the bike for Maintenance Day along with some other parts, fluid change etc, etc,,,, Craig and Kim are going to attend in a cage so Craig will be able to drive the bike back to East PA after Maintenance day to have it ready when we arrive. Quite frankly this group makes the Red Cross look like Cosa Nostra. I can never thank these guys enough for their unlimited helpfulness and kindness and their support throughout all this mess. Without them our trip would most likely have been canceled with a loss of thousands of dollars (flight tickets, prepaid hotels and so forth). Would like to add that Craig and Kim told me not to worry if I did not have a bike - I could always loan their second car for the trip - And the old can,,,sorry,,,Freebird said,,,Heck Jonas - You just take my bike,,,I will not need it that period you and Greta are staying,,,,,,,,, And I live in Iceland and I am not here in the US to help you guys out when you need help. So, with a humble heart and tears in my eyes I just want to say to all of you: Thank you from the bottom of my heart - I simply have no other words to express my feelings. Warmest regards to you all, Jonas and Greta
  4. Very nice bike Annie. Wish you a nice trip in the US. Who knows, maybe we will stumble upon each other. I will be there the weekend after MD Day and ride for 19 days. Will be spending some time with "Sir Big Tom" and his nice wife Vicky All the best from Iceland, Jonas
  5. Now Chris,,,,,Give us an honest answer :hihi: Glad that you came out of this in one piece and that your bike seems O.K.
  6. That was nice work Jeff. Couldn´t help but notice your Red 2000 Venture in the back. That is one nice bike. The fastest color and by far the nicest one they made for the Venture Ride safely, Jonas
  7. Quite a setup there Shaun ! When seeing the little dirt bike it reminded me of an 8 hour trip I took last summer on a dirt bike with a friend of mine in the mountains of Iceland. Man,,,,,did I realize afterwards that I had just turned fifty (and so did my wife). Could barely move the day after. Took me four days to get back to normal. One has to be in great shape to handle these dirt bikes on longer trips to say the least. I have come to terms regarding my age and like touring bikes ! Dirt bikes are history for me.
  8. Ohh,,,, I am so sorry my friend. Forgot to tell you,,,Me and Greta will be in Japan from 1st. of July to 30th. of July. Hope you can make it in June. All the best from Jap,,,,Iceland, Jonas
  9. Well don´t fight her Tom. You now you already lost you feminine little man Look at this as an oppurtunity my friend. Are you familiar with the slogan for garbage disposals ?The same thing goes for these puppys Every home should have one ! Tell Taters that we can surely make arrangements. You can just take the puppy home with you after you visit in June I´ll call Taters tonight so she can tell me which puppy she wants :hihi: Your friend forever, Jonas (PS: i can get you an Icelandic cat also if you like, you know just so the puppy won´t get lonely and has somebody around that speaks Icelandic)
  10. Well, they are cute but quite a handfull. Our dog Kria had puppys 8 weeks ago. Now they are getting ready to leave for their future homes. And one might even go to USA They are Icelandic Sheepdog puppys and really have no problem stealing any hardcore bikers heart Here is a video and the song fits I would think [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBk1f7XxoJA]YouTube - Hvolpar Hektors og KrÃ*u.wmv[/ame] Pictures of our Kria the mother and Hektor the father can be seen at http://www.simplesite.com/hektor/42442190 Enjoy ! Friendly regards from Iceland (Norway at the moment), Jonas / StarFan
  11. Maybe this would also help ?
  12. No actual purpose other than dress up and some people think they look cool - and others don´t. I have modest ones on my bike that were put on by the previopus owner. I kinda like them.
  13. Lock up your woman BigTom. I am coming in June You just go ahead and continue loving :ICshocked: I´ll focus on people:bighug: You manly man
  14. What can I say,,,,,I simply love this guy,,,All seven feet of him. Will let you all know how the bike handles after the mods and post some pictures. Will be a while though since I won´t see this beauty (the bike, not Lynn:rotf:) until June 12th. But Pegscraper, BigTom and Cecdoo will probably have the bike broken in by then .
  15. Hey Glenn ! You got the fastest color and the most beautiful one, but no pictures loaded ! . You might get a fine you know !
  16. Thanks Jeff. I had a funny feeling that the bluetooth might be causing this. Im abroad now but will call my son and ask him to connect his iPod to the helmet with a cord and check the sound quality. If that is decent I will go for the N-Com if it is cheaper than the J&M. Am buying two helmets to use only every other year in the States among other things and the final price ticket is getting a little high so to speak. Gotta start thinking a little logical now since Greta (my wife) will pretty soon start asking some troublesome questions if I am not careful She has a master in mathematics and I can´t outrun her in that field
  17. Happy Easter to you all. Jonas and Greta

  20. Hi Lewis. My prayers are with you. Don´t worry, our prayers will be answered Best wishes from Iceland Jonas / StarFan
  21. Thanks so much Craig. That would be the best thing to do instead of shipping it to the hotel in New York. Planning the trip as days go by. Will send you a PM with an update Friendly regards from Iceland, (Norway at the moment at work), Jonas
  22. Just send a PM to Skydoc_17. He sells clutch upgrades and will suerly know what you need. He is the clutch expert on this site He will most likely chime in though. He can never stay away if he hears of a member in trouble. Pretty amazing guy to say the least. He also has a lovely wife that speaks a little Icelandic - She is even nicer than him
  23. Thanks Ric. Looking forward to hear from you, Jonas
  24. Greetings ! I am in the process of buying two Nolan N-102 helmets for me and my wife to use on our trip to the USA this coming June. Saves me the extra luggage bringing our helmets from Iceland. I want to have Bluetooth in the helmets but am not sure what to get. Here in Iceland I have the Nolan Bluetooth device in my helmet and it works pretty good apart from that the speakers are lousy to say the least when you play music from the Zumo but I have loaded some music files into the device. Maybe the problem is the transfer of music data from the Zumo to the bluetooth device ?? The GPS and the phone on the other hand has very good sound quality and people I speak with on the phone can hardly believe that I am riding a motorcycle and speaking with them on the phone. Was wondering if any of you have a bluetooth set that would fit the Nolan helmets and has a good sound quality going wireless. I want to be able to be hooked to my GPS, being able to talk to my wife (the other helmet) as well as answering the phone. Is this possible ? Can both helmets answer the phone or can only one helmet take the signal?? Any advice on the bluetooth highly apreciated Would like to avoid going with wire hookup. Friendly regards, Jonas / StarFan
