  1. try rhinotire.com i think it's what your looking for:biker:
  2. + I bought a magellan 2200 t from this site for $104.00 then got a hard wire cable off ebay and then mounted it with an old mount i had from an old cell phone. Works very well . I also found bike mounts and traffic kits on ebay for it as well. Like you i didn't want to spend the cash for the garmin units and this works good for me and is waterproof.
  3. well if you get it then you would have an even number of bikes (8) you know you can't have too many rides so i say go for it.
  4. go to oldbikebarn.com they have them for around $104.95 for your 84 , 86 to 93 there only $64.95
  5. installed my diaphragms around 9am ,ballanced carbs went for a ride and all is good. now i just need to get a new front tire and will be set for another season
  6. got mine today also, thought they sent wrong ones until i measured them and they are 72/30mm so they should be same thing. let you know tomorrow when i install them
  7. the sd1 we ordered are 72mm/30mm and will fit your bike, don't know what post you read but these are the right ones. Others that have gotten there orders already have installed them with no problems.
  8. i had the same thing on my 87 vr and did the fork brace, steering head bearings ,new tires ,checked swing arm and it still wobbled at the same speeds yours does. changed to solid motor mounts and wobble is gone.
  9. hey little bob the reason they wanted you to move your bike is if people going into the shop seen your bike they could not sell the ones in the store :rotf:
  10. +-just because you had the tire mounted last year has nothing to do with how old the tire is . it could have been setting on the dealers shelf for a lot longer. i have read in other post that people have bought tires that had code dates that went back five years are more, so check the code date on those tires. just because you got them last year don't mean they were just made in the same year.
  11. just ordered a set over the phone(716-989-0091) and they said there shipment will be there on thursday and they will ship to me the next day. so get your order in now if you don't want to be the last one on the list. once again thanks to everyone who worked hard to set this up for us.
  12. just painted my 87 last month at inlaws body shop, all we did is remove pinstriping with razor blades then sanded parts with air sander (320 grit) then hand sand all the hard to get to spots. Then we sprayed primer, sand some more , spray color (mine was the fastes color- black) then the clear coat , let dry and buff. Just think if you have a 1st gen you only have to paint 21 pieces. Took two of us 3 weeks start to finished
  13. ya! what freebird said, that would work , so here's what i say, freebird for president in the next election. that way we could have a meet and eat at the white house. I can see it, bikes all over the lawn ,the pond monsters in the fountain, what a site that would be.
  14. I just saw what the guy on ebay sold the last set of his diaphragms ( you know the ones he can only get one set at a time) for $147.00 . all i can say is someone wanted them pretty bad to pay that price when you can get them for $89.00 from sci at reg. price. i will wait until there back in stock and get mine at the venturerider price . I just can't belive people don't know that they are paying two to three times what it cost new.
  15. i changed tail light bulbs on my 87 and had the red warning light and changed the led bulbs back to regular bulbs and the light went out. your led plate light will cause the red light to come on. try unhooking your plate light and see if the light goes out.
  16. I use the frogg toggs also they work good for me.
  17. Ron Ayers now has this tire listed for $108.99 , i have an e3 on the back and really like it and will be buying one for the front in about three weeks. come on warm weather.
  18. count me in for one set maybe two if the price is right
  19. rick did my seat on my 1st gen and it was worth the price he wanted, it was a small price to pay compared to what you would spend for a new seat. once again my butt thank's you rick:bowdown::bowdown: your the man.

  23. I just had my 87 VR seat done by rick an i made it a little lower. much better:bowdown: , good thing you guy ride a 2nd gen. thats lower than the 1st. gen. thats taller or you would know what top heavy really is . Just kidding you know it's a 1st gen. / 2nd gen. thing:rotf:
  24. i had a new clutch installed by the local stealer and it worked for 6000 miles then it did the same thing yours is doing , could not get it into netural. It would go in if you turned off motor. It then started to slip in 4th and 5th when i gased it, so i got a barnett clutch and there spring conversion kit. when i took it apart the wire that holds the dampner in place was twisted into many pieces. installed new clutch dampner, new wire ,friction plates, metal plates and all is good. if your wire came loose it could cause it not to go into netural. worked for me. hope it works for you.
