    Once you get the die-electric grease do every connector that is located under that fairing. In the long run you will not regret "doing it right". Boomer....who sez check for pygmies before ya button up dat fairing.

    IMHO the 2 most important things you can do for yourself is make darn sure you have the correct handlebars and seat. It make take some doing to get the right combo but once you are there it sure makes for sweet riding! All the extra chrome won't help ya there. Once I had the Butler Mod done to my seat and adjusted my OEM handlebars I got lucky and hit the sweet spot for the right set-up.....Now it's nothing for me to roll 7-800 mile days if the need warrants it. Boomer....who sez the only ones that howl about a LONG day of riding now is the pygmies.

    I have done countless Poker Runs over the years. Just 2 hard Rules I always personally adhere to: 1) NO drinking of any alcoholic beverage. 2) I'm always the tail-gunner (Last bike in the formation) and I leave plenty of room between myself and the riders ahead-especially if I know those riders have popped a few drinks/beers. Poker Runs are a great way to raise funds, ride with friends,meet new friends, etc.....But I'm very cautious when it comes to being on the road with those who imbibe during the Run. Boomer....who has enuff trouble with the pygmies without adding alcohol to the situation.

    Not to mention I want my friction zone back. I practice the Ride Like a Pro exercises with the scoot and I have found that with my Venture it is difficult at best to maintain the friction zone due to the wet clutch. Now I just keep the scoot in 1st gear and do the routines with much more ease....and I have SkyDoc's clutch upgrade as well. Boomer....who sez yer performance/mileage will vary dependent upon yer proximity to Dairy Queen and de number of pygmies yer packing.

    Chris....We all go off onna tangent and pooch things up a bit in the process. Anyone who knows ME will sure as hell confirm that....and my pygmies don't help matters much either!! Stick around and give everyone here another chance for friendships to form. You won't regret it....except when I sneak a few pygmies into yer saddlebags...... Boomer....who stopped shooting from the hip cuz he was running outta toes.

    The trip is well worth it just for the friendship and a hunk of Lonna's cheesecake! Boomer....who sez the pygmies are all riled up now that I mentioned cheesecake. Note to Dana: Keep yer eyes wide open if ya cruise through Liberty,Texas....there's a hot gal driving a yellar Miata dat cruises around dat area....and she is worth chasing!!!

Dana....Get the Clutch upgrade kit from SkyDoc....As soon as another MD is set up for East Texas I hope to see you there Brother.     I and several others here have installed the HID headlight available from Canadian Cruiser Customizing.....and I can verify that you will in fact "light up the night" with that unit....and it uses LESS power than the stock OEM H4 bulb. Boomer....who sez ya can't run High Beam on the HID at night cuz it will put the Cagers into the ditches quick. Added note: the light from the HID is a bright white/blue color.

    When I hauled my Venture 1600 miles from CT to Loozeeanner I had the same problem with the enclosed U-Haul trailer I used. I used cardboard boxes wrapped with furniture quilts and packed them in close on both sides of the scoot. Left the bike on the sidestand the whole way....front tire was snug against the front wall of the trailer.....chocked the rear wheel and secured the chock with side straps going to the d-rings of the trailer floor.     When time permits you should send a letter to the LEO's Headquarters citing the Officer involved....Those guys don't get many KUDO's for what they do IMHO. Boomer....who sez even a good pygmie gets a pat on de rump now and then.

    A lot of our LA CVMA members make up aluminum plates for the decals on their bikes. Fort Polk and Fort Beauguard here require decals to get on Post. Boomer....Retired Navy but likes to sneak onto the Army Bases and release pygmies.

    Last time I did that it wuz only cuz I had 6 drunken pygmies fighting on de handlebars; I wuz pulling out of a Bar wit a gravel lot, and dere wuz a drunken red-headed woman chasing me..... Boomer....who sez life is too durn short to worry about toilet paper and soggy Twinkies.
