4. Gee, Earl, I was thinking about you yesterday as we were tooling down I45 near Galveston, 62 degrees and sunny. Ah says to mahself, self, think ol' Earl is tooling down the road out there in PA or buried in his workshop wrenchin on 1st Gen's? All kidding aside, you guys will be riding soon. Spring's just around the corner. Hang in there!
5. I haven't found a tach available in 1 1/2". The Drag Specialties tach is 2" and it won't fit in the space between the other two gauges. I am working on a plate that will work, but the cruise control switch will have to be relocated. Stay tuned.......
6. http://www.equus.com/products.php?category_id=100 They're available at O'Reilly Auto Parts or online. Around $45.00 I think, for a three gauge set in 1 1/2". Or they're available in electric sender models for $65.00 +.
7. PM sent.
8. The stock plates are for 1 1/2" gauges. I can make a 2 gauge plate for 2 1/16" gauges. The AutoMeter Oldie Goldie gauges are off white in 2 1/16". Equus offers a 1 1/2" set in off white. I believe Freebird has those.
9. Yup, Clive is my favorite. I'm currently reading Artic Drift.
10. Good on ya Ken. Thanks for the plug.
11. In the Excel format the legend prints a the top. Click print preview and it will show on your screen.
12. Where's Star-D-Bog when you need him? Seems like every time Brad gets caught in a compromising position, StarBog is there.
13. We got in at 8:15 and had to wait about 10 minutes. When we left, there were people standing out the door. Probably at least an hour wait.
14. Check out Jim's album. http://www.venturerider.org/forum/vbpicgallery.php?do=view&g=2384 Boomer, I can make pretty much what ever you want. Just let me know. http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/dawarren77377/Gauges/2Gauge2sw.jpg?t=1265657870 http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/dawarren77377/Gauges/2Gauge2swb.jpg?t=1265657894 http://i672.photobucket.com/albums/vv87/dawarren77377/Gauges/GaugePlate2116-1.jpg?t=1265686250
15. Actually considering a Smith's dual gauge. http://thegaugeshop.com/.media/680124178592.png they're made in several configurations.
16. I would reconsider the temp gauge. I recently installed a set on Skyking's MM. As part of the install, I always let the motor heat up to max to check for leaks under pressure and to make sure the fan kicks on. His heated to 240° before I shut it off. He had a vent hose stuck in the fan. We fished it out and it still wouldn't come on. The fuse was blown and the circuit had a short (probably a burned up fan motor). Had he not had the gauge, we may have never known until it overheated somewhere.
17. Dick, We're so sorry to hear of Bill's passing. We wish comfort for your family. Ponch & LilBit
18. I use a digital volt meter and an anilog ammeter.

22. I've been quiet about it, but I am working on this. I think I can mount the Drag Specialties tach in the dash plate. I haven't made one yet, but it's in the works. The tach would cover the Cruise control button, but I plan to relocate it between the upper gauges. I don't have a Barron's tach. If someone would provide dimesions I can work on it. Attached is a preliminary drawing showing (2) 2 1/16" gauges on top and the 1 5/8" tach on the bottom. I'm going to try it first with the 1 1/2" gauges on top. Ponch
23. I basically did the same thing with my rear lights. I just added a run and stop circuit to the fixture and added dogeyes 3 circuit lights. A simple thing to add a run light circuit to the front signals and put 1157 bases in them.
24. I have a good set of pliers but usually end up pulling the clip with a small screwdriver.
