  1. I believe it's an H4. I think the 9004 is a replacement for the H4.
  2. Thom, if HID is out for now, go with a Sylvania Silverstar ultra. They are long lasting and very bright.
  3. Attaboy, Thom!
  4. Gary, you're welcome to tear into mine. I tried again a couple of weeks ago and nothing made sense. I tried grounding the trigger wire with the power applied directly to the flasher and flasher relay (with both disconnected from the rest of the circuit). Nothing worked. I resoldered all the conections that were temporarily spliced to put the system back to stock and gave up. If we can't get it to work, I think I will install a separate strobe system for use on PGR missions that will suffice as a "key-off" emergency flasher. I found an interresting how to for valkaries that may have some merit. http://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/brk-4way-buzzer.gifhttp://www.rattlebars.com/mtz/brk-4way-buzzer-diode.gif Say you want to add four way flashers and you also want a turn signal buzzer. You don't want the buzzer to buzz when the four ways are on and you don't want the buzzer to buzz while you are sitting at a red light in a bunch of traffic making that silly embarrassing noise while our blinker blinks. Just adapt the above circuit to your existing four ways (if you have done them already - see Four Ways for Five Bucks) or, if you DON'T want fourways and just a buzzer, eliminate the fused lead, the flasher and the switch and hook directly to your ORANGE and BLUE wires. The ORANGE and BLUE signal circuits should come from under your right side cover. So that the buzzer will be silent with the brake light on for both the hand lever and the brake pedal, grab the GREEN/YELLOW from the harness that goes under your fender to the rear brake light. Very simple. The four ways will not make the buzzers buzz and putting on the brake light will kill the ground for the buzzers and they will be silent. But, when you go on your way, they will buzz with your signal. This has two advantages. One, it will make cagers notice you and two, it will remind you to turn off the dern signals when you need to. Works great! Get any piezo and Radio Shack as loud as you need it. This can all fit under your right side cover. whatcha think?
  5. Yeah, we'll meet you there. I'll PM you with a more precise meetup time as we get closer to that weekend.
  6. Yeah, http://petsupplies.nextdaypets.com/assets/ProductImages/21564/1/107aea61-1e1a-4ca6-8e2f-44f9fe73df08.jpg for you, mister! BTW, we plan to be there.
  7. Welcome BigDog! :BLUE: I went through Corsicana Tuesday night. If you're available, come to McKinney on May 15 for Gigawhiskey's Maintenance Day. We'll be passing through Corsicana on the way up about 0800.

  9. I used Frogg Toggs for almost two years. I noticed that over time, they got softer and started getting fuzzy. Then they started seeping water.
  10. I don't think Larry's stand/adapter will work with any centerstand. The Carbon One stand and centerstands us the same attachment points.
  11. Rob, I have a Freebird Centerstand I will sell if you want a "mounted stand". It will lift the rear wheel off the ground by about an inch if you have stock suspension. If the levelling links are installed, it won't lift the tire off the ground. You could put a 1 X 4 under the stand to make it clear. I liked it for oil changes, cleaning the bike and to provide a little more clearance around the bike in the garage. I haven't used it in awhile, so I took it off. Ponch

  14. Think Nitrogen........
  15. Dave, True Value hardware stores carry chrome fasteners. In that assortment there spacers. If you don't have one near, you I can pick one up.
  16. Please ignore if allready posted. Check your voltage at the battery with a digital volt meter and compare. Other drains on the circuit your dash gauge is connected to may cause your volt meter to show less than actual battery voltage.
  17. Sweeeeeet!
  18. So Larry, When we gonna meet ya?
  19. Thanks for the pics. I hope George feels better soon. They can blast kidney stones ultrasonically now. No Pain! BTW, nice gauge install.
