1. :BLUE: Welcome, Kerry. That's not alltogether a bad thing. He's a purdy good guy. At least you're better looking! Your mom's a hoot from what I hear. Welcome, both of you, to this disfunctional family. Ponch & LilBit
2. Get ready for a lot of extra work!

4. I found a coupple of threads with ww pics on them. 5. Dad had bikes (HD's) from the time he was a teenager. He still lights up when he remembers his Harley 45 that was pieced together with baling wire from the farm when he was 16. He had a '63 HD DuoGlide when I was growing up. I guess that's why I still want a PanHead. My mom's dad used to trade services and goods for Harleys. He once traded a 16ga shotgun for a wrecked Harley, fixed it up and traded the HD for a Model T. This was pre WWII. He traded real hogs for Harleys too. Times were tough.
6. ......still better than a certain HD I know of....BTW, ya better check the oil before ya start her again. I don't see how she could have much left. http://api.ning.com/files/R6-Xyh5tpV6Qk0bvRt3wSyOqs-mPJ8Y4UnB4olaoZ1mHmrRt6BuV-Q4R6FK9IKMTvSlgfx8hzBPAPeUHwopFQYxOoSRIkpqR/CachorroMutley_0001.jpg

8. Don't waste your money on the stock brackets. Yami will replace them free if under warranty, but even that is not worth the trouble. buy some stainless steel brackets from Diamond R deflector brackets http://www.diamondraccessories.com/yamaha/proddisplay.php?name=Fork or Polished Aluminum deflectors from Ruffy [ame=http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?t=35844]2nd gen polished fork deflectors...... - VentureRider.Org[/ame]
9. I have that same buzzing noise. Me thinks it comes from my passenger though. It goes away when I energize the mic-mute or when riding alone....
10. PM Tom in Blanco if he doesn't jump in. He got nasty with Yamaha Coporate when his rear shock failed and they helped him out. I would think they would replace the bike if they can't fix it.
11. you're embarrassing me.... http://images.zaazu.com/img/shy-shy-timid-timorous-smiley-emoticon-000447-large.gif Thanks, Tim & Kreg. It was my pleasure.
12. Goose found this source http://www.wps-inc.com/wps/WICATALOG1.pgm?Task=NEXT&CICID=ST&PRVCID=ST&PAGE=577&Rnd=1245745185364661 I don't know who found this one http://www.regulatorrectifier.com/catalog/m4/Yamaha/p1032/1996-2001-Yamaha-Star-XVZ1300-ROYAL-STAR-Regulator-Rectifier/product_info.html?osCsid=9803a966b915bda8ca4929d9383cf131
13. Hi guys, I use a mill. I made an adapter to screw the threaded adapter into then do all the work form the hex side. If you want, I'll send you an adapter and you can send me your new un-drilled one. Ponch PO Box 628 Tomball, Tx 77377-0628 832-622-0918 cel
14. Got ours. They look great!
15. Kreg; I have some weights. Brad; I think we got everything covered, but bring the Sooper Wagon anyway.
16. I haven't had a problem with threads flattening out, but it might be worth the effort to get another one if you suspect a problem. The threads are m20x1.50 which should be the same as the threaded hole in the engine case. I have been using teflon tape on the ones I have installed (about 10 so far), but Sleeperhawk used Oakley's pipe thread compound on his water adapter which worked pretty well for him.
17. Axle is fine.
18. Those jack stands are fine, but I can bring mine if you don't want to buy them. Removal of the left muffler is necessary to torque the axle nut. Some don't torque it. It's your call. Pancake compressor is fine. I have everything else.
19. I can bring a jack if Dave doesn't have one. Kreg, tell me where to meet you and we'll see you there. Now we just need Dave's address and a time to meet. Owen, I don't know what time you can join us. Kreg and I will probably meet about 3 ish.
20. I'm up for a meet at Dave's since he would have to lug the tire on his bike to one of our places. Kbay has tire irons. Plus I'm all over getting fed! I'll bring grease, torque wrench, etc. Kreg bring irons & balancer. Dave, do you have jack stands or something we can set the tire between to balance?

22. Heck, Squid, if you're there, we'll watch you! Just bring some tire irons. We have a real neat work table mounted on the back of a Harley we can use. Kreg, bring your balancer. It's up to Dave now. Where ya wanna do it?
23. Ok Kreg, where do we want to do this? Thursday afternoon ok?
24. We can do it by hand. I'll help. Wee can meet atr my house or Kbay's. Or if you want call Global Cycles. He mounts tires for $20.00 (off the bike) if you buy from him. Ed will do it on the bike too, dunno how much though. http://www.globalcycles.com/ He's always pretty close to what you would pay at SW Moto tire or Dennis Kirk.
25. You can now get the plates in chrome plated steel or BLACK chrome plated steel (especially for Midnight owners). http://www.venturerider.org/classifi...p?product=2433
