I will post an ad next week in the classified's. Will include an option with gauges supplied (SunPro).

Yup, We can do that. We could possibly do an install or two at maitenance day if not installed by then. Randy, you still coming to Texas? Yup, We can do that, too. Thanks.

Will do.

I put the stereo jack in the recess where the aux. power (cigarette lighter) is located. I like that position as it offers better protection from the elements. I can make up some of these cords w/jacks for sale if anyone wants them. I looked at digital gauges. I couldn't get over the price. The Dakota Digital co. offers some real nice units, but they're rather large. I'm not sure you could get three gauges in there, maybe two. I could make some blank plates for anyone who wants to do their own thing with other gauges. I think Squeeze had a link to a neat digital setup, but you would have to research it. I don't remember where it is.

Thanks

Thanks, Brad. I'll shoot Floyd a PM. Going by Eck's excellant article on lens replacement, you have to cut the stock lens out and epoxy or glue in the new lens. It looks pretty simple. I just don't want to waste a good lens. Somebody might need a replacement someday.

As soon as I get some more made, I'll post an ad and then start shipping them. If anyone who has this setup has any coments, please let them fly. I'm not fishing for compliments here, just issues you may have with the install. I already know there is some mods required if you use the Equus gauges. Nothing major, you just have to open up the holes in the dash a little and slot the mounting holes in the mounting brackets.

Yeah, I believe any TD will work, maybe even a Royal Star. I'm sure Randy Rick or Pegscraper can fill in the blanks here. Guthdaddy here in Texas is offering his TD as a test subject and he gets the first one. I just need a panel to use for prototype fit up. I guess I need to call Pinwall.

I aim to please (but usually my aim is off).

Ok Guys & Gals with G2 Ventures. I am now making Gauge plates and install brackets. I will post an ad in the classifieds soon. The Plates will be available in polished Aluminum and primered steel. The brackets are made of Aluminum. They come with mounting instructions. I will also offer the oil presure adapter pre-drilled and tapped for those who don't have the means or desire to drill their own. Stay tuned, Ponch

Does anyone have a head light frame they don't need? I want to install a Tribar lens on the Venture headlight frame, but don't want to destroy my stocker. It doesn't matter if the lens is cracked or broken, I'm going to break it out anyway. Thanks, Ponch

I don't know if there is interest in this or not, but I'm working on a gauge mount for Tour Deluxes. If anyone has a used (scratched, dented, etc.) tank panel they could send me, I would send them a gauge mount for free after I get a final product complete. Thanks, Ponch

Welcome back Annie, Hope you feel better soon. The Swine Flu is taking over here. Many are sick. 880 Miles in a day? that's enough to knock you down a bit. Ponch

2 G2 pins for me. Thanks.

Thanks, LilBeaver, Gunboat and I are working out the details. I don't know when he can leave. He works nights and usually gets off about 7:00am Saturday mornings. Don't know if anyone else from the South is coming. Stay tuned.

Now Kreg, You don't got time for no stinkin' Honey doooo's. You got some ridin to do. I should talk, I have a month of Honey Do's to catch up on. Oy! I think the noise you were hearing was slack in the rear brake pads, but for the life of me, I don't see how it could've had any. The disc doesn't appear to be warped and everything looks lined up pretty well. It seemed to handle very well for me (considering the car tire).

Will plan on the 17th.

I hardly ever remove it, but when I do, there's nothing to see. It's gone. I had a little trouble attaching the safety chains to the bracket, so I added two snap hooks. Now it's a breeze. Ponch

...and we will try to make it. We have the Mississippi run the 24th & 25th of October. Did you get your gauges installed? We could do it at the Maintenance Day. Ponch

Do you have the Yamaha Trunk Bag?
Ponch replied to Freebird's topic in Royal Star Venture Tech Talk ('99 - '13)
Mine stays on the trunk all the time. I keep our rain gear in it (because water weeps past the cover). I had the cover on it on the way to maintenance day as it rained most of the way and the wind ripped it at the seams. When it ripped, I used a cargo net bungee over it and that worked fine. I had it sewed up when I got home. Now I don't use the cover. The biggest complaint I have is that you have to attach it backwards to make the velcro straps work. I mount it in the designed direction, but use additional velcro to attach the carry handle to the front trunk rack rail. -
Let your friends help. Electrical issues can be dangerous.

You might want to have Don use his vendor to make them. That way he has some control over this club's design / motto usage. Also, Don if you do have any pins left I'll take one. If you have any with sewing machine symbols on them, I'm sure the 1st gen crowd would be interrested. (Just kiddin' Thom)

We were on the way, almost to Beaumont when Don called and said it was cancelled. We almost went anyway, but had plenty of chores to do at Mom's house in east Texas. Sorry I missed your call Kenny.
