Just feeling like talking about how things have changed in our society. Kids used to run through the neighborhood ringing doorbells unescorted trick or treating. None of these kids had their parents with them. Seems we all made it home safely. Now days, the few kids that come to my door has an escort but most don't even do the trick or treat thing. Not blaming parents for doing this but was just observing how things have changed.

If you are tall enough, the XXL Clearview works really well for the passenger. I have one and I really like it.

All a vest is good for is to keep your shirt from blowing around. I got mine on sale at cowpokes. I think I payed 18 bucks for it.

Interesting that you went back to the Venture. The VTX and the Harley Ultra are pretty nice bikes as well. I may have to get another just as a spare. Doubt they will make anymore of these after 2010.

Mine is this way. My speedo is reading fast. 60 on my speedo is around 55 on the garmin.

Funny thing about riding with my Harley buddies. They are always shifting into third when I'm shifting into second. As far as their attitude, there are jerks riding every kind of bike. I hate dealing with the kind of people you did Eddie.

Dwayne, I really like XM radio. I have it in my truck and on my bike. I've gone through three different units and the best is the XM radio for the Garmin 550 GPS unit. It's called the GXM-30. The reason that I say this is because the other units would loose the signal if I was traveling in a way that my body blocked the southern signal. My body, the trees, the buildings would all block the signal and the radio would blank out. I don't know why the GXM-30 is better, but I don't seem the have the trouble with loosing the signal and the antenna is mounted in the same place. Hope this helps, Bob

I use the Yamalube synthetic 15w-50. Seems to have quieted the noise from the drive train. I'm really happy with it.

Wow! I wish my lawn would grow enough to mow. Haven't had enough rain to grow anything this year!

I rode into Indianapolis to attend this ride. http://www.exoticfelinerescuecenter.org/rescuerideflyer.html It started raining so the ride was postponed until next Sunday. We did have a great breakfast anyway!

They must have been riding in a tight pack for that many bikes to crash. Glad no one was killed!
