  1. Hey Steve It was a pleasure to help a friend join this website. Certainly worth it in my humble opinion. What is Chuck's screen name? I'll be sure to look him up. $12 a year is a drop in the bucket for the valuable advice / help that is to be found on this website...not to mention the "family" bonds that are formed. However, on the downside...wife says it costs way more than $12 a year. Not sure where she gets that idea..just because I see ideas on here and have to go buy them..hmm...some days she threatens to cut off my internet. Thank goodness she is still working!!! Don
  2. Brad It couldn't have happened to a better guy and a really deserving one. We knew when we first met you at St. Jude's that you were a great friend to all you meet. I know your friend is smiling down on you. Enjoy the ride! Don and Pat
  3. Lewis Just sent the money via paypal. Thanks again for all you do. St. Jude is a worthy cause. We are lucky to have you. Don
  4. Pat and I did the inside passageway on Norwegian Cruise line 2 years ago and absolutely loved it. Would love to go again. That was the 2nd time on Norwegian for us (went Caribbean the first time) so of course we had a discount on the Alaskan trip. We love their ships, they are fairly new and the service couldn't be beat. Couldn't leave our cabin for 5 minutes and the room steward would have it cleaned up. The restaurants were fabulous. Alot of different type menus to choose from. I stayed in the casino alot when cruising, Pat always knew where to find me. this one stops at 4 different ports in Alaska. The only mistake we made was scheduling activities at each one so that by the last stop we were so tired. Wished we had just visited some of the towns and maybe even rented a car to drive ourselves around. I think you can also rent motorcycles in some of the towns. We saw lots of wildlife, aquatic and otherwise. We also got to see a couple of glaciers, even up close. We went in late May and couldnt' have asked for better weather. It was absolutely gorgeous and we never needed the heavy coats / boots / longjohns that we had packed. I would seriously recommend Norwegian Cruise Line. And the inside passage can't be beat. Sorry this is so long...but I wanted to let everyone know how much we love this cruise line. (Can you all tell that Pat is typing this??) Don
  5. At the time that B2dad joined here, our youngest son was in the Air Force and is a B2 pilot...hence...B2dad. He is still in the Air Force but now is a pilot instructor for the T38. The kids liked the name and then all took one on...I am, of course B2mom...then we have B2pilot, B2wife, and B2kids. We had shirts made for all of us and when we all wear them, we really get some looks. A good friend of mine "air brushed" a B2 plane on the back, so hopefully when people see that, they understand the name. We are proud of him and his service to the country. B2MOM (Patti)

  11. Left TN for ND on Wed, Sept 16 at 5 pm. Landed in Fargo, ND at 4:30 pm on Thurs, Sept 17th. 1192 miles in 23.5 hrs. Not sure that was the most direct route, but that's how my GPS sent me. (sorry Snarley Bill I didn't stop and see you on the way, it was around midnight, figured you and Linda were sleeping!) Left ND yesterday morning, but stayed the night in Keokuk, IA (?). Didn't try to do another straight run again. Left there at 4 am and didn't arrive home until 3:30 this afternoon....weathered storms all day. Really glad to be home, I'll tell you. Total miles ridden in 5 days about 2500, staying 2 nights in ND, and one in IA. Don (who has a sore BUTT)
  12. You can sure tell who she belongs to! She is a cutie for sure and will definitely be breaking some hearts when she gets bigger. I would have preferred an orange and white outfit (GO VOLS) but certainly understand having to cheer for her daddy's team. Thanks for sharing the pics Yamma Mamma Patti
  13. Definitely "triking" it. It has made a world of difference for me and I'm loving it!
  14. I have one I will give you. PM me your address and I will ship it out, if you will pay the shipping. I have the pair and will send both. Don
  15. don had one for his which he used on a regular basis, even just to clean the bike. However, when he triked it, the lift wouldn't work any more. He sure misses it for sure! Larry has promised to work on adapting a new one for the trike, hopefully he will have some time this winter. But if you have a G2, this is the best there is! Patti and Don
  16. Dear Don Please, please give them to my sweet, adorable, but poor husband, Don. (See, you have the same name!!) He has spent all his money on his new trike and now has nothing left to buy those thingys with. I have had to cut him off from the check book and all kinds of plastic. He has spent the children's inheritance and his retirement money. He is now driving me crazy, crying all the time and has filled up the garbage can with used kleenex. :bawling:I can't take it any more! Please send him something he can put on his bike and maybe that will appease the poor creature for awhile. It's worth a shot, don't you think? The trike would look so much better with those gaugie things on it...or whatever they are called. I will be forever in your debt, Don. Thanks in advance...I believe you have my address. Patti, the poor distressed wife of a crazy lunatic on 3 wheels
  17. Pat and I are coming. Also, my son is coming from MS. Going to be good to see you all again. Just a note: There is supposed to be construction beginning this coming weekend on I-40 going into Memphis (from Nashville), if anyone is going that way. Also, I thought I saw some construction around the Flying J last night. But then again, I could be wrong. Pat said she didn't see it, but she wasn't looking. If you are coming up I-55 there didn't seem to be any, but definitely some on I-40. Everyone be careful! Don
  18. I will be there and so will my son. He rode this last year and asked if I would like to go with him this year. We are both riding to Memphis for St. Jude's and then going to Birmingham on Sunday. Tazmocycle: I will be the one riding the '08 Venture Trike (Bl cherry / Black). Hope to see you there. Don
  19. B2Mom and son will be there with me. Anyone coming in on I-40 and want to meet me in Jackson? Let me know and I will ride with you to Memphis. Don
  20. And a great time was had by all! Thanks!
  21. I got home early this morning. Thanks again for a great time. I'm so glad I decided to go. The wife found the pics of my lady riders so...thanks Lewis!! LOL. I emailed the pictures to the family of those ladies. Have not received an update from them as to how they are doing. Will let you know as soon as I hear from them. This is such a great group, I enjoyed being with everyone. See you on the ride to St. Jude. Don
  22. Thanks Monty, that certainly makes me feel better!
  23. Ladies (and others...) I just want to warn you what happens when you send your guy off to a rally without you...I found these pictures on Don's camera when he got home this morning! AND IT'S NOT ME!!! Apparently someone likes giving rides to the ladies. LOL!
  24. You look awesome Annie. Congrats on the helmet hair even if I can't see it. I didn't know hair could look any different???? Well, except for those that don't have any....Dale? Don? Keep on riding and sending pics. Patti
  25. I really like my bike (this is really B2dad talking). I have only had it 2 weeks now and still really learning everything. I still can't get used to it in the twisties. I am disappointed in the gas mileage, however...I am heavy on the throttle and have been pulling a trailer that I swear weighs 900 #...THE WIFE PACKED HER WHOLE CLOSET!!! The ride is terrific with independent suspension and the disc brakes, of course, are the best. It stops on a dime.. I am sure you will be happy with whatever trike kit you choose. let me know if you need any other info. Carbon One summed up our bikes pretty accurately. Don:thumbsup2:
