He better have you on hand, when it goes in this year. Unless you want dinner interupted again...... It would be best, with the tight clearances involved.

Not much of a change from other years.........

November 21st last year, still riding at -15* C. No snow yet (got that on the 22nd), but the engine temp went from warmed up to cold in about 2 Km of distance.

Tachometer?????
Rocket replied to Jus Monkeyin Around's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Yup, cracked solder joints... It is a similar repair to doing the CLASS suspension E1 - E4 repair. -

He meant the CMS, located in the center of your dash........ It is a similar repair to doing the CLASS suspension E1 - E4 repair. -
I wouldn't be surprised, if someone here sends you some, after mentioning that......... :rotfl:

1986 venture exhaust
Rocket replied to Komplexvn's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Actually they will work on a Mk1, but more work is needed, to trim off part of the mounts & different mounting bolts are needed too. I know this, from running the Mk2 mufflers, on my Mk1. -
Maint costs should be less, as there should not be as much pond water getting into the engine, or anything else....... Has he had his snow blower training yet?????
-
I don't think he makes anything for the 1st gens, only the later bikes.

Used parts available for 1st Gens
Rocket replied to Dragonslayer's topic in First Gen Parts and Accessories
Just to make sure, or clarify, that he has the one(s) that you need. Is it the one between the fork tubes, the one from the fork tube to the connection by the steering neck, or the longer one from the compressor to the steering neck connector. As there is 3 lines on a VR in that air circuit. I am guessing that the po cut the tube to connector line, because he didn't know about the connector behind the left inner fairing & was pulling the triple tree off, for some reason. -
Are you going to attempt, keeping Pete in line too........:rotf:

There is a parking light position when locked, as well as the locked position without lights on. Try both locked positions, to find out for sure, which one you want to use.

tach and running rough???
Rocket replied to painterman67's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
It was basically to check that the primary coil connection for the left front coil is making good contact (not needed to pull the coil at this point, just check the multi wire connector for good electrical contact). It is a tight fit going in that way, the alternative is pulling all of the left fairing off. The tci connectors sit directly under the battery box (tci is mounted to the underside of the coil mounting tray & is a PITA to pull out). Muffinman is good at working on these bikes. -

Rocket replied to painterman67's topic in Venture and Venture Royale Tech Talk ('83 - '93)
Could also be bad primary coil connections, I had that before, as in a loose connector. It is better to check that coil & connector first, before going to the tci. -
