  1. thanks! I actually needed the master cylinder kit, which I found for 52.85 +
  2. Need a rebuilt or a kit (seals) for a 1983 venture rear brake caliper.. even a new one if possible.. Can somebody post up a link??
  3. Got it running.. rode it for 20 miles and started running like crap again.. I'm guessing the plug is fouled again.. My dad had cleaned the carb(right rear) and changed the corresponding spark plug..
  4. My fathers 83 venture is fouling the right rear sparkplug and running poorly.. he thinks its the fuel pump.. I think he's nuts but nevertheless he wants a new one.. anybody got an Idea where one can be had?
  5. thanks george! "Maybe" you should check the " Y " key on your keyboard, I think it may be malfunctioning..
  6. See my intro "welcome" thread for pics.. its an 83 venture "First Gen"
  7. Any fix on this? Did you get it sorted?? my Dads 83 "misADVenture" is fouling the same cylinder..
  8. MisADVenture HELP!! My Dads Venture is fouling the plug on the right rear cylinder.. Were thinking it could be a carberation problem or a valve way out of adjustment.. its getting spark.. any Ideas? Also he is asking me to look for info on a Vmax motor swap.. PM me links if you can help!! Will entertain offers on the bike if anyone is interested, with so many mods and hours in this bike its a shame to let it sit for long.. Thanks!, Riceburner (aka David) I know I dont post here much.. (its my Dads Venture) I hang out on Blokes Sportbike Forums (riceburner)
  9. route seven in NW Arkansas, and pretty much the whole state!
  10. the bike is my dads, we aint chopping the wire harness... its not a donor in the sense like that..
  11. Ok, so heres the thing, My father built a custom out of an 83 Venture http://www.venturerider.org/forum/showthread.php?p=170870#post170870 he bartered out of his brother in-law, in the process he took off a bunch of heavy stuff and said I could sell it since I am in between jobs as long as I put the money towards remodeling my house.. I sold the radio amp assembly but the guy needed the handlebar switch.. I cannot imagine how big of a pain in the ass it would have been for me to disassemble the fairing and dig into the wiring harness to get this switch off intact, but my Dad did it and only asked that the guy pay another 20 bucks.. what a guy! Now I have sold the rear shock, compressor, and suspension control to this guy building a custom in Shreveport La. http://71.18.95.71/ and he wants the female plug that goes with it, you should also know that this has taken me untold hours of my time between posting the ad, posting it on e-bay, shipping the item, negotiating on phone calls and e-mails about this particular part I sold for 150$... I assured the guy I would try to get the plug(s) for his project off of the donor bike but I also told him it may be too much to ask to try and get the connecting wire as it may be entwined in the wiring harness like the scenario with the radio... So my question is... Does anyone here have any helpful information on the electronic air suspension control assembly? He needs the connecting wire and Plugs between the control and the compressor.. Please advise Oh and BTW I have the rear bags with hardware (no key), front and rear fender(s), handlebars and a few other items for sale as well...
  12. its my dads actually , its an 83.. not sure where he ordered the fenders, J.C. winkney or dennis kirk.. koni shock was 500 bucks
