  1. Isn't there a hot tub at his place, much better for this time of year........:rotf: The pond monsters probably take it over, in the wintertime......
  2. Party at Freebirds house........ :rotf:
  3. Yup, got about 2 feet of the white stuff, at my place, here on the wet coast. How am I going to get any winter riding in (before heading back to Wainwright), with this stuff on the ground. :bang head: Using 4wd on the truck, to get to & from my place too, due to road conditions.:snow:
  4. This rare thread starter needs to stay up on site, not be deleted.............:thumbsup2:
  5. I had the wet slushy stuff, that built up on the hwy, Friday in Nanimo on my way back home. Then the powdered stuff, in Victoria Saturday night & Sunday morning. Then I suggest calling a gathering, of the local VR clan before I have to head off, back to the deep freeze of eastern Alberta on 3rd Jan.
  6. Maybe a dogfood one too.................
  7. Go for it Gene, build one............ :rotfl:
  8. Here is one of my favorite sources for new parts, prices are better than available at Canadian dealers (from my experience). http://www.flatoutmotorcycles.com/fiche_section_detail.asp?category=Motorcycles&make=Yamaha&year=1984&fveh=80 Also, put Venturerider in the comments box when ordering.
  9. No doubt, Dan......... Maybe you can stay out, for a bit over the winter....
  10. This is all I see..........
  11. Looks like I'll be paying more for fuel, back in B.C. for sure. How about, 71.9 per liter over here, in Wainwright.

Pete, I just saw this thread. If I remember correctly the local yammi dealer has a few in stock (on trailers). Give them a call for info (780) 842-3332 They are called "OJ's Leisure Products".
  13. Nice to see you guys get a taste of our PMS:stirthepot:. How long can you (normally winter deprived southerners) stand it, though?????? Yup, it got up to +4 Deg C today, had a little snow last night (maybe 1" so far this winter), with more forecast for the weekend. But overall we are at higher temps & next to nothing for snow, compared to -30Deg C & 18" last year, at this time. It will be nice if it stays like this, through the winter........... :thumbsup2:
  14. The torture of that mental image.............. Squid get dressed NOW, besides, can't have a frozen pond monster out of the water........ :snow: I won't be able to get any cheesecakes, until the Cody meet.
  15. Must be.................
  16. Not really with the supports, too many changes, headlight & cruise that I know of. Possibly more mounting differences, best to stay with mk2 supports, as there will be less modifications to make. Best keep your eyes open, to find the fairings, or can they be fixed??
  17. We might be able to find a bucket, for bailing water out of boats............
  18. That is only half the story, there was the couldn't resist stuff too............ :rotf:
  19. But then, everything is right hand drive over there. Like driving from the passenger side, over here.
  20. Looking at possibly, getting 2 of them (it could make a great gift), if affordable........
  21. She can buy the first batch of ice cream, for PIP next year....... That about sums it up, Mini..........
  22. Sounds like your main problem is only the fork springs....... But if you want to change it over to Mk2 front end, it's your call.
