  4. I gotta ask....What is a double sidecar???? Does he have a sidecar on both sides of his bike????? If he does, I would love to see a picture of it...
  5. I think anyone who loses thie job should write to the president and ask him where all the jobs are he created !!!!!!!! Then you could go there and get a job and live happily ever after....
  6. Ya'll wanna might think twice before getting an intercom. After I got headsets in the helmets (thinking the wife and I could talk about the scenery...etc..), the only phrases she ever says is: SLOW DOWN.....WATCH OUT FOR THAT CAR........THERE'S A CORNER COMING UP. SLOW DOWN...GET OFF THE YELLOW LINE...SLOW DOWN....LOOK OUT FOR THAT CAR/TRUCK/VAN/DOG.....SLOW DOWN......SLOW DOWN......I turn the intercom down so I can't hear her......

  8. Yamaha will change out to the I basket one time. If you do not like it, They Will reinstall your old one. When I had mine replaced, the regional service manager told the service manager to order 2 gaskets in case I wanted my old one put back in. I had the whine from 2000 to 3000 RPM. And it would drive you crazy it was so loud. Now it comes on between 2300 and 2500 RPM with half the noise...
  9. I don't believe coleman fuel and kerosene are related. Coleman fuel burns a lot hotter than kerosene. You don't see space heaters for homes using coleman fuel, and if you put coleman fuel in one, I think you would have disasterous results....
  10. My IC is set at 10. One thing I did was to turn the microphone so it is facing up. This eleimated almost all of the engine noise the mike would pick up and drive you crazy.....Just make sure you have it close to your mouth....
  11. You ought to see them when I ride to work. No modulator, But a white helmet, blue shirt with a badge they can see...They slow down. pull over, and act really dumb. Not a cop. I work for the Fire Dept.....:rotfl::witch_brew::rotf:
  12. According to Obama, WE own General Motors and not the government. SO...When do I start getting my money from the sales of cars after the bancruptcy is over with????????
  13. First, you have to hope your dealer has mechanics trained on the Venture. If you are buying a new bike, you will get a followup questionare from Yamaha. If they don't do it right..Blast them on that follow up. I have gone around with my service department a few times, and between writing to Yamaha and blasting them, I now get GREAT service. At times I have had to tell them what was required at service time. Case in fact...After my 8000 mile service, I noticed different shades at the end of the mufflers...CARB SYNC. I called them and asked them if they synced the carbs. That said...No, it is only required at 12000 miles. I told them that I have a factory Yamaha service manual in front of me, and it said to sync them every 4000 miles. They said the computer said 12000 miles. So I headed down there the next day with my Yamaha factory service manual, showed them the Maintenance schedule. They checked the carbs, and guess what!!!!! They were out of sync. If you are fortunate, you will find a great dealer.....If not...My motto is....FORCE THEM TO DO THEIR JOB AND DO IT RIGHT... If not , contact Yamaha...

    Diff click?

Your dealer should have the tech bulliten on this. If he does not, print it off the site and bring it to him....
  15. Yup, these companies that make motorcycle trailers must think bikers are gazillionaires. For that price. I could buy an enclosed trailer. Haul my bike in it and everything else I wanted/needed to, never have to worry about the weather and get to my destination, and ride around the area I was going to.... These people must be major druggies who build these things, and the people that pay these prices have a lot more money than the average Joe Schmuck..... Time to get off it now...I vented...
  16. I won't be able to make MD, due to my wifes health right now. I have a room reserved at the Oberlin if anyone is interested in taking it. PM me and I will get with you. Looked forward to meeting a lot of you, but unfortunately it won't happen this year.... :95:

  18. I have used golf gloves in the past, and yes, they are very comfortable. But if your hands sweat as much as mine, they tend to turn mushy......
  19. The Utopia IS adjustable. Up and down, and forward and backwards. Turning a screw is easier than pounding with a hammer...:whistling:
  20. You guys must have some weird chemicals in your body. My levers have never done that. Drink BEER, it flushes out all the nasty stuff in you system...:whistling:
  21. The problem with a bag on your rear seat is that you can't open your trunk without taking it off. I have Kuryaken bag that that mounts on the luggage rack. It works great. Just don't let go of the lid when you open it....
  22. My fingers never turn black from the grips...Are you sure it's not the dye from your gloves???
