    Go to your glass place that cuts regular and car glass...they can cut it. I asked the glass place by us ...and they would charge me 20 dollars to cut them down and make the edged smooth. I bought a shorter windshield from show chrome for 69 dollars.

    I have no problems with the sunlight ..and I hardwired the unit ....in busy traffic I use the gps audio thru the radio speakers.

    How was the volume from the speaker that is built in the power cord plug in? I hope that you can hear the directions thru that little speaker when you ride.

    yours has the head phone outlet ..the 2720 don't have a headphone outlet.

    I just ordered a Garmin Streetpilot 2720 with ram mount, and I’m thinking to hardwire it or use the power outlet from my bike…but I’m also thinking can you connect it to your audio system so you can hear the directions thru your speakers or is the original speaker loud enough to hear the directions when you ride. Can't wait to install everything.
