I had one split once too. Got a new one from the dealer. Can't remember the price but it was pretty inexpensive and they had it on the shelf.

Don, If it's OK with you, I may show up in your driveway Thursday afternoon so that I'll be there in time for this clinic. I'm really interested in seeing how the fairing comes off.

Here's what I found on line about the tours. Not really a plant tour but a visit to the Hiram Walker Heritage Center. My oldest son and his wife were married there. If this is something you would be interested in doing just say the word. http://www.canadianclubwhisky.com/home.aspx#/?page=heritage_center

Hey Annie, that's my drink too. Can't beat "CC and Ginger". And just so happens that we live only about 20 miles from the home of "Canadian Club" in Windsor Ontario. I'm not sure if they do plant tours but if you would be interested I could look into it.

I just pulled the wheels off my bike for new rubber. Got to get it back together then catch up on yard work before it starts raining again. Sorry maybe next time.

Very neat project. Anxious to have a look at it. I have a full size real steel '32 5W coupe. SBC powered of course.

Very nice Annie. Love the colour and the skinny white walls too. See you when you get here.

Hi Peggy, Not in our plans for this year as we are going on the 9-11 ride the middle of Aug. We might take it over to Nat's North in Kalamazoo the middle of Sept. though.

Nice exhaust tips. Where can I get a pair of those????

Made it home. No issues crossing the border. Cleaned it up and we went to our first cruise night of the year. Goes down the road real nice but it does need a few improvements. I've got to get rid of the lever shocks on the front axle and maybe install a sway bar as well. Vacuum wipers really "suck". Electric wipers will be high on the list. And a side view mirror on the passenger side too. I drove it all the way home using hand signals because I didn't think it had electric turn signals and was going to make that my first improvement but when I started going through some of the bills for parts etc. that went into the rebuild I discovered that it does have turn signals. There's a hidden switch under the dash that turns them on. And this is a weird one, the guy spent a few hundred dollars on a nice radio that fits in the stock location and looks factory installed but never hooked up the antenna. There isn't even a wire running from the antenna to the radio. Anyway it was quite an adventure, even without my Venture but the real adventure is just begining.

Yup, still got the starter pedal on the floor and it still works.

Made it back as far as Milan Oh. today. 610 miles. Got a late start from my friends place in Raleigh or I would have made it home. Good trip so far.
-
Sorry, I must have drove right by your place. I wasn't there long though.

Found an old '49 Chevy pickup just wondering around on eBay and couldn't help but fall in love with it. Picked it up yesterday in Augusta Ga. and I am now visiting some friends in Raleigh NC. Heading out this morning for home. The truck was restored in the late '90s and still looks and drives real nice. It's old school with the old Chevy "Stovebolt Six" but has a late model 5 speed with an S-10 rear end and disk brakes. No power steering, no power brakes, no a/c and the radio don't work. So far I'm love'n it.

Road Pegs with Lower Wind Deflectors
Gary N. replied to Drkngas's topic in Royal Star and Royal Star Tour Deluxe Tech Talk
I've got the same set up with no interference. Maybe it depends on the length of your inseam and where you need to adjust the hwy. pegs too. 30" for me.- 16 replies

I did #4 with the space shuttle after the Fort Collins Rally. Have to admit, it would have been a lot more fun on the bike.- 22 replies
