Well Muffinman is a happy guy now. His tools finally arrived. Now he can work with his own tools. The army gave him some to work with and were happy with how fast he got done what they asked. Now that he has his stuff he'll be working as much as possible and fixing anything that's sitting still long enough. His accommodations are a tent with 5 other guys. They have them partitioned somehow. I figured kinda like in an office for cubicles. They do have AC so it's pretty cool in there sleeping at night. He said the temps are down some now to only around 95. Which doesn't sound like much to us but it was 114 before. Of course that was cooler then Kuwait with 140. Just thought I'd keep you all updated on his fun in the dessert. Margaret

Well I'm home. Took a bit longer to get here then normal, actually ran into traffic in some unusual places. Like the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel. I've never run into stopped traffic there before, but it was only going into the first tunnel. I have no idea what the problem was except the rain was heavier at that part. Coming out on the other side it was still raining but not as hard. Then you gotta fight your way through traffic in VA to get to NC. When I crossed the border no more traffic, it was a miracle. Ok not a miracle but it was funny, to me anyway. Dano I didn't kill anyone, I would have liked to, but.... I didn't. Margaret

Well I'm hitting the road. Ok in my car. Anyway heading up to my folks for a few days. Trip was a little iffy thanks to bill out there in the atlantic, but they say he won't hit us. I'll get to check on the site everyday since my folks have internet. Just thought I'd let you all know I was gonna be gone in case ya missed me. Heading out in the morning for the 8 hr trip. Not sure about where to take it. We always do our own. Might want to ask the guys when you get there and they might be able to help you out. you should be able to pick up the bearings I think in any auto store. Might want to ask the folks when you get to SC they'd know where to go to get stuff. I hope you enjoy it when you get it. Margaret

We've got a few in those years. Yes 2nd has gone out. Not sure the exact mileage but from what I get from the guys somewhere after 65,000 is when it may happen. Also depends on how you ride. If you have 2nd go out you can ride it without for a while. Also if it happens the guys on here can get you through it. Margaret

Nothing to worry about with pulling a trailer. Empty you'll definitely need weight on the tongue. Full gotta load it right. Lucky for you a few folks there in SC have pulled trailers so they should be able to help. Also don't fill the tires up full. Keep the pressure anywhere between 15 - 20 lbs. Sounds low but it'll work. You'll have to play with that part depending on how much weight your pulling as well. Don't be scared or nervous it takes a bit of practice. Are you riding two up coming back? if so take that baby around the block a few times before putting someone else on the bike. You'll want to experience the trailer alone first. Margaret
